Piper Palin, the 7-year-old daughter of Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin, licks her hand and applies a little spit shine to the soft head of younger brother Trig, 4 months.
The camera panned to Piper and Trig while Sarah gave her acceptance speech during the the Republican National Convention (RNC) at the Xcel Energy Center on Wednesday night in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Watch the cute video below!

Piper was amazing. I’ve never seen such honest and unconditional love like that on tv.
Thanks, I missed that last night because I was reading posts on FR. Cute.
Cool.
Heartbreakingly precious when I saw it during the speech. Wonder where she got the “mama spit” move from, hmmm?
Colonel, USAFR
Leave it to the innocent ones to show us time and time again what love is....and how to be decent human beings......
I was a huge skeptic of Sarah Palin. I wondered what kind of role model she would be for my 11 year old twin daughters.
Well, my daughters watched the speech last night with much interest. First, they like that she has a down syndrome baby. One of their best friends has a little brother with down syndrome, and my daughters love him.
When they saw Piper brushing Trig’s hair down, my daughters thought it was the cutest thing. My daughters were shocked that people wouldn’t have down syndrome babies, and they are very happy that Palin kept hers.
For that little girl to show that much love, shows how much love she has been shown.
democrat blogs are sniveling about “how unsanitary”. What mother hasn’t done that to every one of her children?
This photo is precious and priceless. Every time the mainstream media attempts to trash Sarah and her family, Americans should remember this photo. Their vicious attacks on this family are reprehensible and the American people know it. Liberals black hearts are on display for one and all to see. This photo should be on campaign posters!
And they're the same people who were quite tickled about the leftist protesters' plans to hurl bags of human waste at people at the Obama convention.
When I saw that, it took me back 55 years. A genuine act by Piper, most assuredly learned from her mom.
Piper is a one girl PR department!
When my wife saw her fixing Trig’s hair she lost any doubts about voting for the McCain/Palin ticket.
(If we want to elect Sarah we have to accept that John is along for the ride.)
But then, when Piper was on stage following Sarah around waving to the audience, she sealed the deal.
I have heard callers on radio today speaking of the power of the Piper/Trig hair incident in the same way.
bump
Piper Palin for POTUS in 2036!! ;)
Better than the liberal hair gel used by Cameron Diaz in There's Something About Mary ;>)

Our family has the same ups and downs as any other... the same challenges and the same joys.
Sometimes even the greatest joys bring challenge.
And children with special needs inspire a special love.
- Sarah Palin
Not sure every mother’s done that, but it just shows how low our opposition will go—from attacking the 17yo now down to the 7yo!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.....
adorable
Piper was adorable all nite. She was promting her sisters & brother to stand during the intro! It was so cute when she followed Sarah around the stage after her speech! I think Piper was sure the crowd was cheering for HER! Super cute.
She sure came out of her shell since the first night we met her! what a cutie! :)
Piper is gorgeous!
I just heard Dana Milbank say “Maybe McCain should take the Palin kids on the stage with him tonight and spit come the baby’s hair”. FREAKING SEXIST .... NO JOURNALISM THERE.
I cannot understand how anyone could condemn a downs syndrome child. Yes they have special needs, and the effects of it range greately... but I have never one person with downs syndrome who did not brighten the lives of everyone around them.
This is what family is all about :):):)
The kid’s a natural. My wife spotted it - look how she waves, look how she smiles when she knows the camera is on her!
zing
Already happened. Last night, Dopelerman said that, in effect, the passing the baby around was all theater.
About two spit cleanings and we learned we had better be washed clean and hair combed when we went somewhere. Mom didn’t put up with kids looking like urchins.
Same S***, Different day.
The libs are so jealous ,,,,,,, they found a loving caring family in motion . Surely not the Huxtables .
Most poignant moment of the night.
That’s love, period. The only reason the leftist scumbags can take shots at this is they simply don’t know what love is...even when a 7 year old shows them.
Piper is such a sweetie. I loved that moment last night. It was so beautiful.
I just howled when I saw her do that! I remarked to someone online that if they wondered how Sarah Palin manages to take care of 5 children, that little vignette showed it quite well. When there are lots of kids, in a well organized family, ALL the kids pitch in to help!
“Actions speak louder than words.”
Huh? Look, I don’t like Obama either, but I do think that he likes kids. This picture isn’t of a non-White guy holding a White kid. It is of a guy holding a kid. Let’s not devolve into what the Dems do.
That’s a darn cute baby
Bless her heart!
“Piper kept waving to the crowd like she owned the place.”
She DID own the place.
democrat blogs: Staged
Yes, I’m sure they think that. Idiots
You can imagine Bristol holding Piper like that when she was a baby. Who would blame her for seeking early motherhood coming from a loving family like that?
FWIW, FR's search function is still not yet fixed -- so no harm, no foul.
It is currently VERY difficult to know if what you plan to post here (or something similar) has already been posted.I had to go through all of the threads posted here since last night MANUALLY -- and then add the keyword "piperpalin" -- so that we can at least find them that way.
And, this is NOT (quite) in the order that the threads were posted; rather it is in the order that I found them -- and added the keyword "piperpalin."/ TMI :o)
