Did Palin Call Hillary Clinton a Whiner?

September 02, 2008 2:15 PM

ABC News' Eloise Harper Reports: Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, in a video interview with Newsweek posted on YouTube, discussed the coverage of Sen. Hillary Clinton. In an interview that appears to have taken place during the Democratic primary, Palin criticizes Clinton for her response to media scrutiny she received while on the campaign trail.

Palin says, "When I hear a statement like that coming from a woman candidate with any kind of perceived whine about that excess criticism or you know maybe a sharper microscope put on her I say man that doesn’t do us any good. Women in politics, women in general wanting to progress this county. I don’t think it’s, it bodes well for her a statement like that."

She’s right. Hillary shouldn’t whine when she’s put under scrutiny. It makes her look like Obama.

I was just WONDERING how the Obama pimps were going to alienate Palin from the PUMAs. It only took a few days.

Funny you should say that. I was reading one of the PUMA forums a few days ago and this exact story of “Palin called Hillary a whiner” came up. A couple of posters were not happy, but when they saw the entire quote with “perceived whine” they had no issue. And most seemed to have no issue even if she did call her a whiner. Most of the PUMAs admit that don’t agree with Palin on every issue, but they are more impressed with what a strong personality Palin is. In fact, I think the PUMAs are at least as upset, if not more so, as FReepers with these petty attacks by the media against Palin.

It won’t help with the Hillary vote, but the truth is, she’s right. If the public perception exists that a female politician is whining, it certainly doesn’t help women at all.

Palin is smart enough to know that there will be plenty of supporters that will call the MSM out when they're not being fair without the candidate's involvement.

Important now that she strongly confronts the recent media behavior without coming across looking like a whiner.

I have been reading that site as well. I have no problem with them at all, because they place Country and Integrity above Party. I respect them for that. They are the kind of Democrats I used to remember, before the Party turned into a sick Socialist Cult. I disagree with them about many things, but they have integrity and I kind of like them.

I certainly have called Hillary a whiner, many times.

And she is.

Can’t get sued for tellin’ the truth.

WOW...the scumbag media is out in full force digging up and throwing anything they can use off the wall to see what sticks...I wish them all the best...if they threw themselves up against the wall those sh*theads would definitely stick.
