I doubt there are many also. The Hillary forum has posters but it’s just a few dozen talking back and forth.

Perhaps Hillary is a socialist but Obama is definitely a freedom squashing communist. His thuggery tactics stole her votes in the caucases and his hacks went after Howard Kurtz because he examined the Ayers/Obama connection.

That makes McCain a conservative? Wow! The rationalization I've witnessed on various threads to justify supporting a socialist like McCain become more bizarre with each reply.

McCain isn’t a conservative, and he certainly isn’t a socialist.

He’s an old-school, Teddy Roosevelt-style (small-p)progressive-populist. Which I suppose makes him a strange hybrid of conservative and socialist impulses.

He’s definitely not Ronald Reagan, but McCain is light-years better than the Marxist at the top of the other ticket.

And all indications are that Palin is much more traditionally conservative than McCain is, so if he gets in, she’s set up to be President after him (unless, God forbid, she implodes under the pressure of being on the national political stage).

I am not a supporter of McCain but I can't for the life of me see where he is a Socialist.

Try reading reply #30 but more specifically how about the fact he sponsored legislation with socialist Teddy Kennedy to grant amnesty to illegal aliens or sponsored legislation with flaming socialist Joe Lieberman to advance the fallacy of human induced global warming, which by the way the GOP adopted three days ago as one of the planks of the party's platform and last but certainly not least is him sponsoring legislation with socialist Russ Feingold restricting free speech under the pretense of campaign finance reform. If these few examples don't qualify him as a socialist then the RATS are all conservatives.

I will vote agaionst Obama regardless, but would like to know more about McCains voting record.

Again, read reply #30.

It shouldn't be surprising socialists from the Democrat party support McCain considering he has supported them many times over there years by voting with them on many issues. He being the presumptive nominee and being supported by RATS not only shows how far to the left the GOP has moved but also the two parties are merging as one. Welcome to the Republicrat party!

A little testy are we tonight?

By what you are describing it sounds like a come back of the conservative Democrats. When the party actually cared for this country. I would love to see two honest parties fighting for power again. That would be wonderful, accept hillary isn’t honest.

To disagree with McCain or say he is not conservative enough for you is one thing.

However to call him a socialist brands you as so far out of the mainstream to not take you seriously.

Hitlery is a staunch socialist. It stands to reason any ardent supporter of Hitlery is also a socialist. There is no possible way any supporter of her's could be even close to being a conservative.

They don't have to be conservatives to vote for McCain, do they?

By my humble, conservative estimate, the McCain/Palin campaign is currently sitting on a measley 68% of the popular vote, and only the 535 electoral votes of 50 states. There's no way they'll take the DC vote.

Based on what I see, McCain-Palin ticket is headed for a 50-state record landslide.

Do a google search on "Hillary + Palin" or check this one out: Hillary Clinton Forum - Palin Thread

Late Friday afternoon, someone posted an AOL poll with over 350,000 responses showing McCain/Palin at 63% and growing, and with the Electoral Votes from all 50 states. Obama only carried DC. The AOL customer base is left of center. The Democrat media is outraged that they didn't get to pick our VP candidate. None of the daily polls touted by the media come anywhere near that sample size.

The Democrats and their media outlets are terrified and desperate, but everything they do just makes more people join the McCain/Palin campaign.

They have reason to be desperate, and they have the polls rigged to show a tight race, until they can figure out how to handle the overwhelming flop of their messiah.

The turnout by black voters in 2006 was about 10% of the total turnout.

The turnout by women voters is slightly more than 50% of the total, most of whom are furious at first the Democrat treatment of Hillary, and now the disgusting treatment of Palin and her family.

Right now the Democrats have the gay vote (2%), and the black vote (10%), and the remaining hardcore Democrat vote (20%).

Democrats may very well get less than 32% of the popular vote total, and only the electoral vote from DC.

Can't possibly be true. George Noory just said Obama got a bump to 8% more than McCain.

It was on Coast-t-Coast AM, it's gotta be true...

For at least the past eight hours, CNN has had "Breaking News" coverage of Palin's daughter's pregnancy - non-stop - while debating (wink, wink) whether this issue should be discussed.

Two or three times per hour, there have been video clips of McCain and/or Palin in the background, but they haven't played the audio from either one.

CNN is definitely operating in "Saggy Diaper Desperation" mode. This would not be so if Obama were polling above 50%.

His socialist record in reply #30 speaks for itself. How you or anyone can rationally consider someone who supports amnesty for illegal aliens knowing it is a threat to national security and will destroy this country, supports the fallacy of human induced global warming which is as of 8/28 is a plank of the GOP and supports restriction of free speech under the pretense of campaign finance reform as mainstream not only defies logic but sounds the socialist Democrats. The Republicrat party is alive and well.

No, flaming socialists can support the GOP as far as the party is concerned but even considering having socialists vote for the presumptive GOP candidate only shows how far to the socialist left the GOP has moved all for the sake of expanding its voter base.

Think like Hillary!™

If she's the nominee now she gets all the flack and attention.

If Obama gets bounced after McCain-Feingold kicks in, she can skate over most of it.

Further if Biden taps her as ViPer, she dodges even more of the microscope. MSM has been telling us no one votes for the president based on the Veep (as have many FReepers, for that matter), so the MSM will at least have a fig-leaf for sucking up to Hillary!™ and ignoring her past.

If something unfortunate happesd to President Biden the day after his half way point, Hillary!™ finishes out his term, and is still eligible for TWO FULL TERMS!

She'd think of it as The Glorious Hillary!™ Decade...
