Think the liberal mainstream media don't like the thought of Sarah Palin becoming president? Check out the editorials blasting John McCain's choice as vice president on the GOP ticket:
The New York Times: "Governor Palins lack of experience, especially in national security and foreign affairs, raises immediate questions about how prepared she is to potentially succeed to the presidency. That really is the only criterion for judging a candidate for vice president."
The Los Angeles Times: "In Palin, who is just halfway through her first term as governor, McCain has found an ardent opponent of abortion rights who won't provoke the outrage from social conservatives that might have greeted a more experienced, pro-choice candidate such as former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge. But what happened to his insistence that a running mate be qualified to serve as commander in chief? (The McCain campaign was reduced to pointing out that Palin is commander of Alaska's National Guard.)"
The Boston Globe: "In picking a first-term governor with no foreign-policy record, the Republican presidential candidate undermined his own central themes - experience and national security - and exposed the deep fault lines within his campaign."
The Kansas City Star "But as this newspaper noted earlier this week, the most important question in evaluating a vice-presidential pick is whether that person is prepared to step into the Oval Office. Palin, with no national political experience and only a couple years in the Alaska governors office, is a very tough sell for the Republicans on that score. McCains age he turned 72 on Friday doesnt help."

Suffice it to simply say Sarah Palin is a Breath of Fresh Air from the Great State of Alaska where most women are women and men are men, beautiful average and above average children and home to the Last Great Race, The Iditarod.
I see a leader in her; I like her and I am going to vote for her.
Oddly, would could interchange Obama’s name with Palin’s and the all these arguements are even worse, but the media ignored it then. Does a women have to have MORE qualifications than a man?
It seems as though her harshest critics are the male of the lefty species. Bitchy queens .
Has Obama been the commander in chief of the Illinois National Guard? Then I'd say she has more experience in national security than Obama.
Apparently for the Slimes, it is NOT an important criteria for judging a candidate for President, otherwise they would have issued the same denounciation over Obama. The entire MSM is revealing themselves to be rank hypocrites on an even greater scale than we ever thought possible. They are now willing to condemn Palin while endorsing a candidate who has even LESS experience.
No, she simply has to be a Liberal and a Democrat. Then the Liberal Media would have been referring to her as the new Geraldine Ferraro.
Did the KC Star raise the same questions about Obama? Let's keep the responses simple and on-target.
Our local radio station, WTOP (in D.C.) was calling it the “John and Sarah Show”, while simultaneously telling people that the Dem convention was seen by as many people who saw the Academy Awards. The absolute disdain and disgust for McCain and Palin in the commentator’s voice was absolutely astonishing. Not trying to hide his hatred or bias in the least.
The Dems are about revenge and reparations, not “standing on your feet.” They believe that Republicans/Capitalism is unfair and discriminatory. The only way to solve problems for women, minorities, union members, etc is to have government control everything.
This way, they can punish, punish and punish some more.
So, most Dems don’t want a fiesty woman who succeded. She is the “Uncle Tom” for women.
Wait a minute, wait a minute. Doesn’t Obama’s experience growing up in Hawaii and Indonesia count as foreign policy experience? That’s the line the MSM was touting against Hillary. How come they’re not using it now?
She will fully energize the Democrat base.
CEO’s hire the CFO’s, they don't need to be well versed in how to do an actuarial table as much as how to find the best person who does. Palin has already done the duty of hiring and firing a cabinet as a mayor and now as a governor. The rest of the candidates haven't.
Personally I think Sarah Palin could step into the Oval office right now and do a better job than any of the Dims, especially Obambi and ROFLMAO, that pathetic loose mouthed fruitcake Biden.
There you have it. If the Slimes hates her, then she has to be the very best! I can’t think of a better endorsement.
McCain ‘08, Palin ‘12
Excellent points. Thank you.
“She will fully energize the Democrat base.”
To do what?
In case anybody missed it:
Does a woman have to have MORE qualifications than a man?
That alone gives her miles more foreign policy experience than Obama whose only foreign experience seems to have been speaking at the Brandenberg Gate.
I have seldom watched the MSM - but after this Obama salivating and the hits on Sarah that’s it .. no more MSM either TV or radio or print ... I have had it with their hate and biased reporting ... as Mark Twain had said “I will postpone all activities to attend their funeral” .....

Sarah Palin is the Commander in Chief of the Alaska National and Air Guard that combined is a force larger than many third world armies, plus we take a daily defensive posture against the Russian TU-95 Bear flights.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
How is it a hard sell? Governor Palin is objectively more qualified to be President than Senator Obama, and she only gets the job IF McCain kicks the bucket.
How is she UNqualified to be Vice President, but Obama is qualified to be President?
How is this to be viewed as anything other than brazen sexism?
Palin Out-Experiences Obama.
Palin for VP.
And they want Obama for P???
"An F22 with Sarah Palin's Alaska Air National Guard intercepts and observes Russian TU-95 Bear. That's national defense experience you can trust."
McCain, are you listening? Get this ad together and watch your opponents crumble.
The people McCain is trying to attract... base conservatives and independent voters... don’t read any of these newspapers.
Lots of Presidents were former Governors. Clinton, Reagan, Carter. And she’s the VP pick.
So what’s the big problem, MSM???
She has the right enemies.
Over Alaska -- A 90th Fighter Squadron F-22A Raptor escorts a Russian TU-95 Bear out of Alaskan NORAD Region airspace Nov. 22, 2007. This marked the first time a Raptor was called upon to support the ANR mission. U.S. Air Force photo
She will energize the Republican base and demoralize the Democrat base.

And the Dem convention was even more phony than the actors who create the Academy Awards. It’s all make-believe!!!
The Differnace is that Palin is a strong, smart and aggressive female who wont take any crap from some weak kneed eunich from the left.
Palin would be a better President than McCain.
They are in a panic because this trumps their ace and threatens who they *thought* would be the first female President. I love watching them whine!
What’s the saying among lawyers, if you don’t have the facts (?), pound the table?
That’s what the dims are doing, making a lot of show and noise, because that’s all they have, along with an empty suit as the top guy.
Eleanor Clift was practically losing it last night, on the McLaughlin Group. Just sputtering and fuming about Palin.
Me thinks she does protest too much.... heh heh.
This would make a great ad, aimed at women voters of course. It would be a little long but would work wonders. Start with Obamaosama's qualifications, just list the bare minimum, which is community organizer and 18 months(143 days actually)as a senator. Then list Palins qulaifacations and at the end ask this question. A professional, such as the people doing the wonderful ads for McCain, could do better but it would be devastating to Obamaosama and all the other dems and MSM who are crying no experience.
Isn’t the 90th an active duty squadron out of Elmendorf? If so Palin doesn’t have anything to with it. There’s no need to exaggerate her duties as governor.
Yes, well, since the NYT split its infinitive, they lose all their bonus points. Really, where is the Style Manual?
Let them all foam at the mouth, slavering dogs that they are. With McCain and Palin, we’ve got people who DO; they’ve got people who...talk. IOW, they got nothin’.

I didn’t know that program was still around!
There’s going to be lots of sputtering!!! :)
Had Obama been the commander in chief of the Illinois National Guard we never would have heard the end of it.
And if you think about it, it is even worse. The Democrats and the media are making the woman have MORE qualifications for a LESSER job than a man.
Whoo Hoo! Thank you Alaska!!
I’m with you, freekitty!
As everyone here knows, I really dislike McCain, the ol’ Maverick. He has and will sell us conservatives out, and I think he actually dislikes us as much as we dislike him.
Nevertheless, Palin’s selection shows McCain to be at least politically savvy enough to know he still needs us to get elected. Plus, I’m voting for 2012, not just 2008. By picking Palin instead of Romney, Lieberman, or some other slap-in-the-face-to-conservatives candidate, McCain reinvigorated the base—a wise choice! For that reason, I’ll be voting McCain/Palin in November. Just about anything else, and this lifetime Republican was going to sit it out. Now I can vote with good conscious.
