In her speech in Dayton today, Gov. Sarah Palin announced that she and her husband are celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary, which means they were married on August 29, 1988.
On April 20, 1989 – less than eight months after they eloped – their first son, Track, was born.
I think I can guess the real reason why they eloped, and it wasn’t to save money on an expensive wedding.

Alan Colmes is a fool. Everybody knows the first baby doesn’t take 9 months.

I see nothing wrong with people getting married and making things work as a family after they find out they are pregnant, no matter what the circumstances were. It all works out better for the children in the end.
Be gentle when dealing with Alan Colmes and sex. I’m sure he’s put a lot of effort into figuring it out, but you can really only learn so much from books and movies.
Well, maybe the baby was premature; did Colmes check the medical records on Track? This is only the beginning on the part of the LEft, it’s going to get a whole lot dirtier, wait and see.
I wonder how all the women will react when the left attacks their similar situation. I think they are only creating more McCain/Palin voters.
I'd say the party of John Edwards, Jesse Jackson, and Bill Clinton should stop this nonsense. In a bit of trivia, Nancy Reagan was pregnant when she married Ronald Reagan, and they turned out to be a pretty nice couple! Alan Colmes just makes himself look a bigger fool with this one.

But if he revealed they had premarital sex, didn't marry, she went on welfare, refusing to name the dad of her child so she could get extra benefits? I'd probably give him a 6.
If he'd revealed she got pregnant via turkey baster and because no child needs a dad, he'd get a 7.

Let's get real, Alan. Hillary Clinton as first lady nearly dragged down 1/7th of our country's economy; she lied about Cattlefutures, Whitewater, ad nauseum... AND YOU WERE GOING TO VOTE FOR HER IN THIS ELECTION.

I thought even a fool like Alan Colmes would know that. It’s the second one and any that follow that usually take 9 months. Heck, our first one only took 7 months and she was an 8 pound preemy.
I call it being “pro-active”.
We have to give Alan some credit, he did more digging into this story than he ever did into Obama.
It looks like eight years of trying to hide his Bush Derangement Syndrome (less than successfully), and the frustration of his girl Hill losing, and the very real prospect of McCain winning, have driven him completely round the bend.

My twins were born after only 8 months—but we had been married for 6 years.
Even if the baby didn’t come early, likely she did not know she was expecting. Times have really changed in 20 years in terms of early pregnancy detection.
This baby that Colmes doesn’t think should exist is now defending Colmes freedom. He owes the young man an apology.
But, Colmes’ fierce, perfectionist morality would have killed this baby and his young brother.
And Colmes’ thinks he’s one of the elite dictators to us commoners.
Let’s see... she got a corrupt trooper fired and got married as soon as she found out she was pregnant? That’s it? That’s the best they can come up with?

Colmes and other liberals will go low and dirty on Palin even more than McCain or any other conservative because she is the biggest threat to their ideology. She’s the conservative that’s cool.
Nonsense. It shows that they cared enough to do the right thing if that's what happened. It's not as if many first babies come a little earlier than nine months.
Sara Palin makes many of liberal mores uncomfortable by showing them the alternative route to children out of wedlock and uncontrolled sex. Now, there's nothing wrong with sex, and the Palins think so, with five children! However, playing around with sexual ‘freedom’ can backfire spectacularly, as members of my family have learned to their dismay.
She serves as a reproach to the ‘anything goes’ crowd.
I'll be gentle with Mr. Colmes, but I'm going to challenge your thesis. The problem with it is that up until very recently mainstream books and movies have focused only on heterosexuality, a topic I'm sure he has no interest in whatsoever.
What I can't figure out is how Hannity can sit by that ugly SOB five days a week and listen to his gibberish and lies without strangling him. They must be paying him a fortune. I couldn't do it for any money.
