Wow. I, fortunately, missed the wonderful event. From what I gather, Chris couldn't hold it in and longer and said something like -

Some guy on MSNBC named Rachel Maddow just said the speech was “seismic”. Then he went back to undressing Norah O’Donnell with his eyes.
There is nothing Chris can say that I would be interested in hearing.

I was like, wow, Senator Obama is going to make us oil independent from foreign countries in ten years? That’s amazing! After he said that, I thought the crowd started chanting “YES WE CAN! YES WE CAN!” But when I listened a little closer, it was actually “SAN-TA CLAUS! SAN-TA CLAUS!”
Just showing his liberal emotions. One thing I would never do is cry over a political speech. They are a dime a dozen. Nothing but propaganda. All of them. You would think someone his age would know this. But hey he is a liberal and politicians and .gov are his idols. Not mine. I have no use for the whole lot. Just want them to leave me alone. Well, this brings up another thing that makes me want to barf now. This constant and overwhelming and overweening bathos and tsunami of whimpering, simpering “emotion” and all the pseudo altruistic and phony do gooderism for “the children” and all the afflicted in the world.
All the poor dumb suckers and incompetents in the world who can’t or don’t want to make it on their own. The left will always come to their rescue for at least five minutes or until the TV lights and cameras go off.
People never used to talk about their charity, church or causes all that much, they just did it. Now, everyone has a PR flack.
All the “stars and celebs” are always down at the homeless missions for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The rest of the year, they’re in their private jets or on their yachts or private islands.

MSNBC is a network -- notice carefully that News is not part of its name. CNN is Cable NEWS Network, and of course, Fox News is Fox NEWS.
By not including News in their name, I'm convinced they feel they don't have to live up to any fundamental journalistic standards, and are otherwise free to emote and editorialize as they please.
With that said, Chrissy's "reaction" was probably well-scripted in advance.
As for Olbermann, if Obama had walked out to the podium, dropped trou, and taken a huge dump on stage, Olbermann would have declared it the "most insightful, brilliant, and concise commentary on the Bush Administration he had ever seen".
Libs like Matthews are always yammering on about how they "love" political maneuvering the way people like sports, as if to show they're really manly because they get giddy about people at their bitchiest.
That Matthews is proud of his reactions to manipulation and intentional distortion of reality is no surprise. He's one of those overly-emotional people who will say "Yes, damnit, I FEEEEL and I'm not ashamed of it!"
Those kinds of folks don't seem to understand that it's not emotion people like me are against--it's the phony manipulation of emotion that annoys. Matthews WILLINGLY is lied to, and he approves of it because it gives him an opportunity for emotional release. That's really weak, and the sign of a weak, immature person.
It was a trickle down his leg. Need I say more?
