I am fairly new here. So I feel a little odd writing this. But the Republicans here in Florida do such a bad job of getting the news out about how to volunteer, I felt I had to get the word out on my own.
In FL each party is allowed to have Poll watchers inside the precincts. The Republican party trains volunteers, Democrats usually use attorneys. If you are interested, you can contact the local Republican party HQ for your county.
They train you in a 2-3 hour class and give you study materials. Later you are assigned a precinct, shift to work, and given an ID card. You must be allowed to sit close enough to see the sign in process to assure that voters are showing proper id, that they are on the precinct list, and many other things.
If something is not right, you can formally challenge the vote forcing the voter to use a provisional ballot so that authorities can determine later if the voter was qualified. If you are assigned to a precinct captain who will not follow the law, you can call the "check in" number you were given to have one of the party's attorneys dispatched to the precinct.
Other states may have similar processes. You will need to look into that with your Republican state HQs and county election supervisors.
I just wanted to make everyone aware of this since we can be pretty sure that BHO will not play fair in the GE anymore than he did at the caucuses. I just volunteered with my local "Victory Office" and invite all of you to do the same.
Thanks for the post!!! Bookmark!
I was a PBC Poll Watcher and imo, every GOPer needs to be one as well! The ‘Rats will steal anything if given the chance.
Some thief took a boat motor of mine,
Damn Democrat.
But I think I’ll call the local republican headquarters and see if they need help.
Thanks.
Port St. Lucie area.
