And that will not be the side with the states of Sodom (CA) and Gomorrah (NY).
Indiana, and particularly its legislature, was pro-Confederacy. In fact, the threat of Indiana's secession was so high during this time that Indiana's Republican Governor, Oliver Morton, took steps to prevent the legislature from convening and then paid much of the state's operational expenses out of his own pocket (and also obtaining some illegal loans from his bank) for the bulk of the war. He also privately financed the money to raise Indiana's army during the war.
