....One such man is my friend Lt. Col. Allen B. West, the former Iraqi war hero who was inexplicably disciplined for displaying courage and decisiveness in the battlefield – and for very likely saving the lives of some of his men.
West is challenging incumbent Democrat Rep. Ron Klein in the 22nd District in south Florida, and many Americans – myself included – consider his election one of the most important contests to be decided this fall.
Lt. Col. Allen B. West My only regret is that he is not running for president. If he were, I would not currently be out pushing a book called "None of the Above," and would instead be aggressively campaigning to see him in the White House.
Col. West is the kind of man America needs in the Oval Office. He is the kind of principled leader, committed to the Constitution, we need in Congress and in the presidency.
Check him out for yourself. He's the whole package. This is not only the kind of man you would want with you in the foxhole, this is the kind of man you want representing you in Washington – a man of integrity, character, moral clarity.
This is a candidate I am excited about.
Maybe you ask, "Farah, what can I do to support Col. West? I don't live in his district."
The answer is simple. Do what I am doing. Send him the most generous campaign contribution you can. Maybe you don't have a man like West running in your district. I doubt you do because they are few and far between. But you can support Col. West with your checkbook – and, even with a modest contribution of $20 to $25, you could make the difference in this race.
