Gov Kaine, on Fox New Sunday, claimed that Virginia (his state) borders Delaware - on the Eastern Shore. It does not. Maryland gets in the way of that border.

I was book on Chincoteague (the Eastern Shore of Va), I can assure you that Virginia does not border Delaware.

WRONG. Delaware is part of the peninsula, that is why it is called DELMARVA. Maryland is in between VA and DE.

I've lived on DelMarVa for more than 25 years, I do believe I know what I'm talking about in regard to the geography of the region.

As a Delawarean, I’ve always wondered why the entire peninsula isn’t included as part of Delaware. As a matter of fact, I am going to start a movement to annex the Eastern Shore. Ware so lucky on the shore....don’t have the infrastructure so they can’t put in the sub-developments that destroyed Southern Delaware with the NJ-NY PA invasion...threw the elections and rural Delaware became part of the Northeast...it was over and we fled before they built a wall.
