A court in Saudi Arabia is reported to be preparing to hear a plea for divorce from an eight-year-old girl who has been married off to a man in his 50s. The Saudi newspaper al-Watan said the girl had been married off to the man by her father without her knowledge. The child's mother is thought to be pushing for the marriage to be annulled - though the father opposes the move. In April, a court in neighbouring Yemen annulled the arranged marriage of another eight-year-old girl. She had been married to a 28-year-old man. Child-protection groups say children are often given away in return for hefty dowries, or as a result of old customs in which a father promises his infant daughters and sons to cousins out of a belief that marriage will protect them from illicit relationships. Activists have called for an end to the practice.

The only reason this news has reached beyond the Islamic nations is because of Christians hatred of Muslims.
Allah through his prophet Mohammad encourages marriage before intimacy.
How can a Muslim man satisfy his love of children if this marriage is annulled.

This is a disgusting post. There are many people in Iran, for example, like the students, who truly detest their government and would love to see a new government there. They detest Ahmedinejad. And you think we should have just killed all of the innocent people, even those with no ties to terrorism? That’s just disgusting. That’s what our enemies do-like they did on 9/11. They killed more than 3000 innocent Americans. Innocent civilians may die in wars but we DO NOT kill them on purpose. That is what differentiates us from the monsters on the other side, and you want to throw all of that right out the window. Collective punishment is immoral. I hope you don’t call yourself pro-life.

It is not that easy in these cases.
The father is as sick and twisted as the scumbag who married the child. What are the odds that he will murder her to protect the “honor” of the family? I’ll never understand these so called fathers who treat their young daughters like slaves. They should be protecting their daughters, not pimping them out and killing them.
