DALLAS Illegal immigrants are returning home to Mexico in numbers not seen for decades and the Mexican government may have to deal with a crush on its social services and lower wages once the immigrants arrive.
The Mexican Consulate's office in Dallas is seeing increasing numbers of Mexican nationals requesting paperwork to go home for good, especially parents who want to know what documentation they'll need to enroll their children in Mexican schools.
"Those numbers have increased percentage-wise tremendously," said Enrique Hubbard, the Mexican consul general in Dallas. "In fact, it's almost 100 percent more this year than it was the previous two years."

It’d be good for everyone if they started cleaning up their own country. Maybe if enough of them demanded it.....maybe...

We need more legal immigrants, IMO. I haven’t met a legal one who I was sorry to see be here.
They’re the cream of the crop and we need more like them.

It was never about 'we can't expect to deport 12 milion illegals', it was always, they got here on their own and they can get home on their own.
But common sense doesn't sell newspapers, or TV time.

You know here in Mexico, in the Valley of Mexico, near Toluca there is 6.5% growth in population this year. They expect 50,000 Baby Boomers from America, and many of those coming to Mexico have acquired job skills they learned in the US, and it is a good thing. Things are looking up here in the South. Come on DOWN.

In fact, it's almost 100 percent more this year than it was the previous two years. I have to say BS to this, unless of course the 100% increase means 2 mexicans went back to ol mexico as oposed to 1 that left 2 years ago, meanwhile a zillion have more have walked in.

That sounds interesting. I am in Ensenada at the moment. The best looking building in town was probably built with Al Capone’s cash a way back. Nice weather. I get a lot of work done.
How is the internet connection there? I am on Telnor Infinitum and it fades at times.

But reports are already out in Mexico that the large number of illegal immigrants returning home could drive down wages and put pressure on social services the same concerns many Americans have with illegals living and working in the U.S.

Sure, and this is why the Mexican government has never been interested in doing so. The United States is a convenient source of remittance money and a chance to get rid of the would-be malcontents. Since I believe realpolitik works better than Kumbaya politics, I don't blame Mexico for adapting this attitude.
I don't want Mexico to blow up in a civil war; I hope they manage this feat safely.

I drive by a large nursery three times a week and it used to have 5 or 6 men standing around that look like they are probably illegal. I’d see them get picked up in trucks every so often. The 5 or 6 turned into 8 or 9, then 12 to 15 and has slowly gotten to the point that I’d bet there are more than 30 of them standing around every day that I drive by. The gathering of them just keeps getting larger and larger.

They’re not leaving.
Politicians and the Mexican government would like us to believe they are, but from what I see in the Pacific Northwest, they are on the increase.
They are REPOSITIONING....moving to states that have no laws against them and still have sanctuary policies in place along with a plethora of welfare benefits, food stamps, schooling, free transportation, rent subsidies and HEALTHCARE.
Many of the license plates I’ve seen around here are from Arizona, California, Colorado and even Georgia.

Even though we are getting rid of a few more, I'm inclined to agree with your assessment.
The illegal immigrant population in the U.S. has dropped 11 percent since August of last year, according to the Center for Immigration Studies. Its research shows 1.3 million illegal immigrants have returned to their home countries.
Sounds nice, why don't I believe it?

I think we need to pay attention to happenings in other areas. We’re all so preoccupied with the illegals that hardly anyone is paying attention to the rapidly growing Muslim population which I read the other day could be large enough by 2020 to nominate and elect someone to the White House -if not to several seats in Congress. If this does become a reality, we may very well lose more than our jobs.
