Boise(ID) man arrested after handgun standoff on Table Rock

A 37-year-old Boise man is being held in the Ada County Jail on a felony aggravated assault charge after a handgun standoff late Wednesday night on Table Rock.

At that point, witnesses said the driver of the car Smith first threatened pulled out a 9 mm handgun, pointed it at Smith, and told him he was going to disarm him. That man then took the handgun from Smith and determined it was fake.

Pulling a fake gun on somebody in Boise — or anywhere else in ID — can get you killed. Most guys there are armed, legally or not. It’s almost as dangerous as playing the same game on an L.A. freeway, LOL. FWIW I’m an Idaho native and now live near L.A.

A couple of boys from back here in western Pa. moved there with their guns and the guns are alive but the boys are dead. It was a news story a while back and which I took part in covering at the parents home very sad....
