Moscow: Missile Defense Deal Aimed At Weakening Russia (Warns of Possible Attack)
Associated Press ^ | August 20, 2008

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and her Polish counterpart signed a deal Wednesday to build a U.S. missile defense base in Poland, an agreement that prompted an infuriated Russia to warn of a possible attack against the former Soviet satellite.

Rice dismissed blustery comments from Russian leaders who say Warsaw's hosting of 10 U.S. interceptor missiles just 115 miles from Russia's westernmost frontier opens the country up to attack.

Even if you’re paranoid, it doesn’t mean you don’t have enemies. - Henry Kissinger

I’m paraphrasing here, gang.

regardless that Poland is actually to close to use them on Russian launch vehicles, only Iranian.

Russia has really gone bonkers. They’re getting as bad as Iran. I used to think Russia was, or was striving to be, a modern European state, but all of a sudden its inner lunatic seems to be emerging. Maybe it’s from too much contact with Ahmadinejad and his ilk.

I think so. Poland would only get 10 interceptors, see. There is no reason for Russia to feel threatened by 10, defensive, interceptors.

I'm going to repeat this question on every thread about this issue:

Barak Hussein Obama has vowed to scrap the unproven missile defense program, in order to use the saved money for social welfare.

If it is so unproven, Mr. Obama, Why has Russia threatened to attack Poland if they install it?

I was never that naive, but I look forward to Russia’s first nuke so we may turn Moscow into a large sheet of glass.

Might make for great ice skating this Winter!

We have missles off of the Adak chain. That is only 80 miles from Russia. What is the difference. Don’t see them threatening us with attack. Maybe cause they had their “Let’s move on Poland next” plan disturbed.

This is just so absurd. Poland is putting up DEFENSIVE SHIELDS- these aren’t offensive weapons.

Russia is looking for trouble, actively searching for it- and I still can’t figure out what they have to gain??

Russia has historically been paranoid and schizophrenic. In some ways they are justified based on their national and ethnic history. Unfortunately, it causes them to fall back into the same holes they crawl out of over and over.

Poland is a lock stock and barrel member of NATO and as a result come under the military protection of every other member.

The Russians can talk all the junk they want...but they dont want any part of the Germans much less the Brits and Americans.

“When you threaten Poland, you perhaps forget that it is not 1988,” Rice said. “It’s 2008 and the United States has a ... firm treaty guarantee to defend Poland’s territory as if it was the territory of the United States. So it’s probably not wise to throw these threats around.”

Condi earned her monthly paycheck with that one. Bravo.

“and again, the eyes come off of Iran, Russias buddy.”

That’s right.

My observation: Russia has to be addressed with emphasis added. Without Russian support Iran is toast. Russia is the lead Domino. It falls, Iran falls, Syria falls, terrorism falls.

Drill here, drill now Saudi falls.

If Russia is not addressed...It’s a much more dangerous World. The Saudi’s continue their subtle approach to Islamification of the World, and their ME takeover including the destruction of Israel.

We are currently flying right into their web.

This question should be used in any Presidential debate between Obama and McCain.
As a matter of fact, the McCain campaign should use this question in one of it's TV political ads and run nation wide over and over.
McCain campaign ?
are you listening ?
Use this question in your TV ads ...
on ? WHOM DO YOU TRUST WITH AMERICA'S SECURITY ( if Barak Hussein Obama has vowed to scrap the unproven missile defense program, in order to use the saved money for social welfare. If it is so unproven, Mr. Obama, Why has Russia threatened to attack Poland if they install it?)
I am sure there must be McCain campaign people here on FR ? right ?
