What is happening today is unprecedented in our history. Immigrants account for one in eight U.S. residents, the highest level in 80 years. In 1970 it was one in 21; in 1980 it was one in 16; and in 1990 it was one in 13. In ten years it will be one in 7 the highest in history and by 2050, it will be one in five.

Since 2000, 10.3 million immigrants have arrived — the highest seven-year period of immigration in U.S. history. More than half of post-2000 arrivals (5.6 million) are estimated to be illegal aliens.

Since 1970 we have added 100 million to our population, two-thirds from immigration. And in the next 50 years we will add another 167 million, with 105 million coming from immigration.

Half of the children under 5 today are minorities. The out of wedlock births for Hispanics is 50% and for blacks 68%. Hispanics have school drop out rates of 50%. The drop out rate in California is one in four and in LA it is one in three. This is our future.

Complete and total nonsense. The Irish, Germans, Italians, et al were all minorities in their day. Assimilation still works unless the party of privilege and division (Democrat) derails it.

What is nonsensical is supposed conservatives towing the line on Ted Kennedy's disaster of an immigration policy. What is non-sensical is claiming that Irish, Germans and Italians are more like Hmong, Cambodians, Mexican mestizos and Nigerians than British and French. What is nonsensical is pretending that 19th century policies have any relevance to 21st century immigrants. Let us review, shall we:

In the 19th century immigrants were required to be disease free, and were given a battery of tests upon arrival, and frequently quarenteened. Now immigrants with AIDS are going to be let into the USA, due to the same leftist grievance groups who insist we take more 3rd worlders.
Then immigrants were forced to learn english on the job, in the school and in the streets. It was considered a good thing to become competent in English. Now we have BALLOTS in 23 languages, leftists require schools to teach through high school in non-english languages, the government grants radio broadcast licenses to non-English stattions, etc.
Then immigrants were instructed in American greatness, everywhere from their churches, to newspapers to the schools. Now: patiriotism is derrided, schools are run by cultural marxists who require all other teachers to attend their indoctrination camps (education departments) before giving them a teaching 'certificate' regardless of the skills they have. Albert Einsten could not teach physics in an American high school without going to get his certificate in ~~leftism~~ education.

Then for the most part mimorities were minorities. They might have a neighborhood, but the next neigborhood over spoke a different language. Now we have counties in the Southwest that are already more than 65% spanish speaking.
Then immigrants applied, waited their turn and followed the rules to come to the USA, or didn't get a chance to be here. Now: we have an estimate 20 million or more illegal immigrants.
Then: immigrants understoon they would have to change to live in America. No more chickens in the backyard, no more racial orientation, etc. Now: people believe America must change to accomodate them, even though they have only been here for a few years.
Then: minorities were minorities, the majority population was proud and powerful. Now: minoritiets are agrivated and always right. They refuse to ackowledge existing power structures tha they can not dominate.
Then: you made it on your hard work and talents. Now: you get affirmative action to give youa 'leg up' over all those white people whose parents built the institutions and infrastructure the invaders piss all over.

I could go on, but its obvious to anyone with eyes.
