Census report sees minorities becoming majority by 2042

In a new report out Thursday, the U.S. Census Bureau projects the nation will become much more diverse by midcentury, with minorities forecast to become the majority population by 2042, experts said.
The growing national diversity is also a trend seen locally, particularly among Hispanics, experts said.
"Hispanics are primarily drawn here by economic opportunity," Koppelman continued. "If the economy remains robust on Long Island, this population will continue to expand."
The Census Bureau projects that minorities, now roughly one-third of the nation's population, will become the majority by 2042, and grow to 54 percent by 2050. Hispanics are projected to nearly triple their numbers -- rising from an estimated 46.7 million today to just under 133 million by 2050, out of a projected total U.S. population of 439 million.

I guess I missed something. What does political and legal power by minority groups have to do with “systemic” discrimination in housing? Housing discrimination was banned by the Fair Housing Act of 1968. It’s probably an economic issue; i.e. poor people, minority or not, can’t afford to buy a house on Long Island as it is.

About how they fare in any inner city in the U.S. now which is not very well. They get the shit kicked out of them and worse because they’re white and CNN and our govt doesn’t care. How much racism against non-whites is reactionary to growing up getting the crap beat out of you every day I wonder. That’s not to excuse it, but there is a double standard when it comes to racism.
Complete and total nonsense. The Irish, Germans, Italians, et al were all minorities in their day. Assimilation still works unless the party of privilege and division (Democrat) derails it.

Census is not counting the offspring correctly ya' know. More like the old "one drop" rule than the more modern "bi racial" standard.

There is no way the so-called minorities,those who refuse to fit in, are going to give up that special politically correct status.
They will sub divide themselves to keep that designation. There is no way white people will ever get any preferred status as a minority. They are fooling themselves if they think they are.
Now? Well, we now have upwards of 40 million illegals and their anchor babies in country...Driving the standard of living down, and choking off our entire system, from social services, to our medical services, jails, schools jobs, etc...While all of us are forced at gun point to watch and pay for this national disaster.
That laughter and humor...Has all but died out.

A report just came out last week showing this? Gosh, all one had to do 30 years ago when I was a kid growing up there was to take a look around. Maybe not in N. Calif but in S. Cal, all one had to do was take a look around and it was pretty obvious. Now when I go there and take a look around, I’m even more in the extreme minority.
Look to history. The Zimbabwe model says otherwise.
My dad always said we’d be glad all those minority rights laws were on the books in a few years.
But of course, San Antonio is 70% Mexican and they are still called the “minority,” so I don’t know how that happens.
That all changed.
The epic illegal invasion of the past 8 years or so, has never been seen in the history of America. Tens of millions have entered in the past 10 years or so, making our borders appear as a Boston Marathon of millions. It went on completely unabated, and publicly encouraged by the President on down to the local government ruling class.
It's become so bad, hundreds of thousands of illegals march through the streets of all Americas major cities making demands and threats while pushing foreign flags in our faces...This under the Bush administration, had never been seen in the history of the U.S.
What was once isolated to the southwest, is now in every single town, large and small, from Las Vegas, to Maine and every point in between.
A government that will not protect it's legitimate sovereign borders, will itself eventually become illegitimate.

Amazing how non-judgmental the MSM will be about these matters. Had common sense prevailed in the mid-1970s, there would be no burgeoning Hispanic minority percentage. Had common sense prevailed back then:
* Illegal aliens would be sent home if they got so much as a traffic ticket.
* Illegal aliens unwed Mexican teens giving birth in a San Diego hospital would not be able to proclaim to their little brown-skinned baby, "Mi Americano!"
* Illegal alien assets (car, house, clothing) would be seized for having broken federal immigration laws.
* And, lastly, my beautiful hometown of Los Angeles would not have turned into the third-world cesspool it has become, with dirty, lazy, unskilled illegals standing on street corners and surburban houses with 20 people living inside with chickens and goats out back.

The future is going to be that whites are destined to become the “new Jews” of the earth: a shrinking minority loathed by the black and brown majorities.
Whites will always be perceived by nonwhites as hoarding a dispropportionate chunk of wealth and power. Whites in the West will eventually face the same opprobrium as did the Jews of Europe - and, quite possibly, the same ultimate fate (and we know what THAT was).
You will see laws grow ever tighter against “white racism”, “white privilege”, hate crimes (and “hate thought”) by whites, ad infinitem.
I take no more joy in this prediction than you. But we have brought this upon ourselves, with our tendency towards “white guilt” for all the accomplishments and wealth achieved by the West and our continuing unwillingness to defend our race and culture (as other races and cultures are so willing to defend their own). I, for one, would like to undo what’s coming, but fear things have progressed to far to ever turn around.
A prediction I can confidently make is that as the twenty-first century progresses, we will see a new “Great Migration” of the remaining whites of the nation, as they flee from the multicultural areas to a central core of the country where they may retain their majority for some time into the future. Eventually, there will be “white states” and “nonwhite states” - something akin to the slave vs. non-slave state situation that existed before the War of Northern Agression (aka the Civil War).
Whether that may portend some kind of eventual dissolution of the Union, I can’t say. Could our future be that of the Balkans?

With the help of a Federal Judge, and state government co-conspirators, our free election was declared illegal.

I have carefully read your comments and there is no question that a portent of the future needs to be looked at. It was said as a quip that when the white man went (as in deprived of control) the next thing that went was the electricity system. In South Africa today, no matter what is said, the great system of electric power has been severely curtailed. Rotating power cuts in the business districts.
Old whitey who had the engineers and technicians, lost thousands of employees. Unqualified hangers on replaced them. This in the seventh largest system in the universe. Well, excuse the rant but..... all the will in the world does not make things run. I am told in a previous thread about the City of Detroit. I have fond memories of it from about thirty years ago. I am told, it is a mess today.
Oh, what I really meant to say was that if whitey got out to such as you describe, and had the fire power and created an enclave- all well and good. America united and happy is much preferable though. It such happened, first I suggest nailing all radical college professors, all wing ding women, all ex-hippies, certain politicians. Send 'em back in good order to the "paradise" THEY are responsible for.
However, as time passes the less power whites will have, and the more punitive things will become for them. Each year less and less white conservatives will be elected to offices. As far as a great migration you mentioned of the white fleeing the multicultural madness, to the core of this country, or having their own state, I tend to disagree, and most likely will not be tolerated by the new ruling class.
I see isolated pockets scattered about, away from those socialist multicultural population centers filled with mostly non-whites.
Looking back in the past 12 years or so, it's been interesting watching the whites run from one state to another, one region to another attempting to escape the ever expanding multicultural/socialist population centers. Many, once they escaped, only found that a few years later what they thought they escaped from, followed them en mass.
35 years ago, I would have never dreamed what would be taking place right now.

As far as a democratic republic surviving all bets are off. Fewer and fewer Paleo Conservatives will be elected. Government will have to grow and expand their power. It will be necessary to keep the competing groups from killing each other. It will be like the late Yugoslavia under Tito.
You can forget the Bill of Rights. You can forget limited government. The people who are coming have no understanding of what it takes to be a citizen of a constitutional republic. They will vote themselves more benefits that they will not be able to pay for.
Nor can they be assimiliated due to their numbers and the public (government) schools are already a disaster. They will only get worse. The liberals will love it, at least for a while until their necks are in the noose. Since they understand nothing they will blame it on themselves and in a sense they will be right. Ask the white liberals in South Africa how they like it now living in their prisons. You reap what you sow liberals. Things could not be worse.
Almost all of that immigration happened before 1965, at which point assimilation was effectively ended.

What a nonsensical article. Anybody that lives in and around Los Angeles knows, we’ve been the minority since the 20000 Census, but lets not check the facts now shall we? Asians and Mexicans are the majority, don’t yell at me, that’s the way it is. Accept it or move elsewhere.

I’ll never forget how mad I was when that a Federal Judge declared prop 187 unconstitutional. The people of California (many of hispanic descent) voted against it and one person who was not elected vetoed it. It should have been taken it to the Supreme Court. Gray Davis let it die.

This is only applicable if you count all other “minority” groups together as one unit - which they are not. In this case these independent, separate and unique groups will each have a bigger percentage of the overall population, but “whites” will still comprise the largest group.
However, those whom we call “white” now were once considered to be several different groups of ethnic immigrants - Italians, Poles, Irish, Czech - and were not considered to be “Anglo-American” by any stretch of the imagination...
As the population intermarries, adapts and assimilates, we should expect a new group of intermingled Americans to arise as the new “majority” - the majority of them intermingled with the so-called “white” population.

What is nonsensical is supposed conservatives towing the line on Ted Kennedy's disaster of an immigration policy. What is non-sensical is claiming that Irish, Germans and Italians are more like Hmong, Cambodians, Mexican mestizos and Nigerians than British and French. What is nonsensical is pretending that 19th century policies have any relevance to 21st century immigrants. Let us review, shall we:

Immigration continues unabated despite the peoples' desire for it to be otherwise. Much of it we did to ourselves, as we fell for the lofty-sounding concept of Zero Population Growth while third worlders continued to reproduce. They knew insrinctively that demographics is king and a man's greatest asset is his children. Little did we think that when they ran out of room and resources in their own countries they'd start invading ours.
We certainly are brilliant and globally aware, aren't we.

Well, guess what, Mrs. Reyes, I’ve been saying the same thing my entire life, even though my family has been in this country for centuries. Many US citizens don’t get the opportunity. Go home and fix your own country, my family has bled to fix mine.
