Nearly two-thirds of Americans (64%) support going ahead with offshore oil drilling, an issue that John McCain seized on in early June as a way to help lower gas prices and has since forced Barack Obama to at least partially agree with.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that over half (55%) agree with the Republicans proposal to build more nuclear plants, although 32% disagree.

If only 42% think drilling is the best way to reduce oil prices,
58% are dumb masses.
Has anyone told Mrs. Pelosi about this?
She knows.
Pelosi is trying to put on an air of warming to the idea of drilling of recent.
And to think, SHE wanted to “save the planet.” Tsk, tsk.
Funny how the rest of the world (China, India, Cuba, Venezuela, etc.) seem to be doing the “gimmicky” thing (drilling for oil) and aren’t doing the “real” thing (defined by Obama and the Dems) of inflating their tires. And if those 5 millions “green” jobs are out there just waiting to increase the prosperity of some country how come China and India (or someone else)haven’t already snapped them up?
One thing that is missing in this campaign is drilling into the minds of the ignorant masses the fact that we not only use petroleum to fuel our vehicles and heat our homes. Petroleum is the basis of plastics, synthetic materials, medicines some food products, containers and many other processes that produce the everyday things we use. Like the Dow Chemical company commercial where everything around the person in the doctor’s office disappears and leaves them with nothing as the chemicals (most derived from petroleum) are taken away. People need to realize that this is not just about gas prices.
