Report: Edwards' Ex-Mistress Held Particular Scorn for Elizabeth Edwards (MSM had a scoop in '06)
Fox News ^ | 8/11/2008 | fox news

Posted on 08/11/2008 8:22:22 AM PDT by tobyhill

Elizabeth Edwards has "bad energy," claimed the woman who had an affair with two-time presidential candidate John Edwards, according to Monday's online edition of Newsweek magazine.

Rielle Hunter, the mistress at the center of the political storm around Edwards, held the former North Carolina senator in high regard. However, the party girl-turned-healer-turned-videographer was apparently less generous with her former paramour's wife.

"I've only met her once," Hunter told Newsweek reporter Jonathan Darman in late 2006 during a lunch in which she mistakenly cast him as a friend. "She does not give off good energy. She didn't make eye contact with me."

She didn't make eye contact with me.

I wonder why? Because you were messing around with her husband? She may be a liberal and suffering from cancer, but Elizabeth Edwards isn't stupid.

John Edwards has slowly been making a pot of scandal soup that will simmer (on tv, the internet, etc) for many months and years to come.
I hope his wife does something to save her sanity. I hope his wife does something to salvage the lives of their innocent children.

Liz Edwards knew exactly what that skank was doing with her husband. I have no doubt the painted trash talked his wife to Riley, but that doesnt justify cheating.

Riley got exactly what she deserved.

I can see Elizabeth’s reason for staying given her health and small children. I imagine their relationship is very frosty but for the kids I think she is smart in staying. I alwys thought it odd knowing you have incurable cancer and choosing to run for office but hey seems libs love power above all else!

If I can't leave then no one else can.

Too late! Been here two years already. And BTW--I'm STILL fighting with the CA DMV to get the $440 in state taxes they STILL owe me for (incorrectly, surprise) garnishing my tax refund.

Seems the DMV doesn't understand that when you register a car AND transfer title 3000 miles away, you really don't need a CA registration anymore and it's not nice to take money that isn't theirs.

Anytime someone starts talking about “energy” (the “new age” type) I usually head in the other direction or for the door.

Same thing if the start talking about any kind of diet or “food” as a spiritual, political or sociological thing, etc. I don’t care what you eat or don’t eat, just don’t feel compelled to tell me about it.

Don’t wanna know them.

I'll observe that the interview demonstrates that Rielle Hunter is obsessed with Edwards and considers him to be her cosmic soul-mate.

Therefore I find it extremely difficult to believe that Hunter's child is the child of a lesser being: her words are the words of a woman who would be overjoyed to have Edwards' baby.

This woman is giving the public exactly what we expected. She bad-mouths the wife. (whoda thunk it?) And, she doesn't have two thoughts that make sense. She speaks in hippie psychotic-babble. How dumb men are when they fall for someone like her. Edwards is not only a scumbag, but a very stupid one at that.

Even more disgusting is that people around Edwards are (supposedly) supporting her in a lifestyle that she finds comfortable. And she will probably make a killing on money from tabloids and a book!

No Bias what so-ever! /sarc

As much as I'm glad Foley is gone, ABC claimed Foley committed a crime yet there has been no indictment and that was the issue that cost the GOP the majority (culture of corruption) yet we learn the MSM had the real goods on Edwards.
The MSM isn't full of journalist and reporters, they're full of Democrat activist.

I hope his wife does something to salvage the lives of their innocent children.

There's nothing she can do. She knows she is dying, and she knows that the father will always be awarded permanent custody of the children after she is gone unless he does something unthinkable to all of the children. Otherwise, he will have custody. Even OJ got custody of his children after the civil suit found him liable for their mother's murder — another gift of the 9th Circuit to politically correct liberal fascism....

There are no words to describe how low Edwards' betrayal must feel to his wife. Elizabeth must wake up every day dreading that her children will have that cheap tart as their stepmom, and that this will be her dying thought.

Truly, I pity Elizabeth Edwards. Why didn't John Edwards just take a knife and stab her in the heart?

Wonder why they had to hang out at a hotel?

Neutral ground where her presence would normally go unnoticed and his presence would be considered part of his usual jetsetting "business."

Another aspect of the scandal: Rielle Hunter is crazy. John Edwards got involved with a woman who is obviously nuts, which tells us something about his judgment.

WOW! This broad is a real psycho! - More of the story here:

When I next saw Rielle weeks later, she told me that she'd been fired by the Edwards campaign. She seemed perfectly cheerful about it, but she proceeded to tell me a tale of woe—how the campaign hadn't understood her, how they'd ruined the Webisodes, how they'd impeded her vision and how Edwards himself had failed to defend her. The chief villain in this saga was Elizabeth Edwards. "Someday," Rielle said, "the truth about her is going to come out.

....snip....

At lunch at the Soho House in late spring of '07, Rielle told me that she and novelist Jay McInerney were working on a "genius" idea for a television show about women who help men get out of failing marriages by having affairs with them. She said they wanted to pitch this idea to Darren Star, creator of "Melrose Place" and "Sex and the City." At lunch early that summer, I asked Rielle if she was dating anyone. She answered simply, "I'm in love." I asked, "Who with?" "I can't tell you," she said, "but maybe someday we'll all be friends."

Good catch.

This snippet implies that Hunter and Edwards were indeed actively involved at the time that Edwards' wife was diagnosed as being out of remission.

.... in late spring of '07, .....I asked Rielle if she was dating anyone. She answered simply, "I'm in love." I asked, "Who with?" "I can't tell you,"....

Ah-HA! Now the timeline is perfect. She gets fired by the campaign, decides she is "in love" with Silky, and then conceives and delivers HIS child right on schedule.

Edwards is NOT going to be able to deny the kid is his for very long. The '06 timeline was FABRICATED to allow Pony to claim he was a scumbag while his wife was in remission, as if that is any kind of mitigating factor.

Harry S. Truman said, “A man who cannot be honorable in his marital relations cannot be expected to be honorable in any other.” And if the converse also applies, this should have been apparent from his shenanigans on the Senate Intelligence Cmte..
