Gas Prices Drop: 24 Days and Counting

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Retail gasoline prices fell on average almost a penny overnight, extending declines for the 24th straight day, a survey of gas station credit card swipes showed Sunday.

The national average price for a gallon of regular gas fell to $3.818 from $3.826 the previous day. That's down more than 7% from the record high of $4.114 that gas prices hit on July 16.

Gas prices have eased substantially in recent weeks amid signs that global demand for petroleum products is slowing.

But gas prices remain high in historical terms. Friday's national average price is more than $1 higher than it was a year ago.

Actually, I hope that gas prices do go back up tomorrow. If gas prices fall back to the upper two dollar range, then there will no longer be any pressure to solve our energy prices. Also, the biggest thing John McCain has going in his favor is the rise in gas prices. I look at paying a bit more for gas between now and November almost as a campaign contribution to the Obama’s defeat.

I believe because there is a serious movement by “we...” directed towards Americas politicians, moving towards the growing sentiment of “drill here, drill now” along with Bush liftiing the moratorium on offshore drilling, that the only result is what should be expexted by a free market. Lower oil prices. we’ve seen this in the last week or so, these few simple actions invoke lower prices at the pump. It also puts pressure on house and Senate Dems. The price would be even lower, but because of Nancy Pelosi’s actions, about how dems apparently don’t give a damn about “We The People”, “We the people” will always pay more than we should thanks to Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and others. Nancy... Your Book Sucks.. and I did’nt even have to read it to find out. Pox on You. How much does your book cost? I coulda spent that money on gas, or oil futures, or anything other than your book, and still come out ahead. You suck, for real. Your’e dumb, Your’e Intellectually ugly, Your’e Philisophicalliy inept in all attribute’s of responsibility to your constituants. Nancy is the wort speaker of the House.

There's a lot more going on with this. That's why Russia has made the move it made. If oil drops...Russia is only hanging on economically because of high oil. They've got to cause a disruption...they were involved with the PKK shutting down that pipeline...it didn't work oil still dropped. With the Chinese putting a hold on the use of lots of oil during the Olympics...oil demand is down.

With a million barrels a day moving through the Georgian pipeline, you can bet the farm that price will spike up $5-10 tomorrow, at least.

$4.42 is what it is now. Down from a high of $4.56 for a while.

Out in the Bush, where every gallon has to go in by air, it was up around $8.60 for a while. Don’t know if those prices have moderated yet.

Here in NW Indiana we’ve seen our prices drop to around $3.75/gal only to rise again to $3.99/gal today.

Ummm... Russian Jets just stitched a major pipeline with 50 missiles, at exactly 100 meter lines on both sides.

This is a country clearly, blatantly using oil as a WEAPON against THE REST OF THE PLANET.

It has never been more clear.

I hope the world notes this moment in history.

Does this increase have anything to do with the Democrat party domination of both houses? Has CNN asked this question? Is this the "new direction" Pelosi promised us?

Ummm... exactly how much Georgian crude comes to the US? Might go up elsewhere, but I don’t think it will affect the states with spikes of at least $5-$10, by tomorrow. Canadian crude... that would be a different story.

Probably none.

The oil pipeline which goes through Georgia is oil in transit from the Caspian Sea to a port in Turkey. Georgia is the transhipment point. However, it does have a throughput of around 1,000,000 barrels per day - more than the Alaska pipeline. If there is a cutoff - or a threatened cutoff - the world oil prices will react sharply. The price has already been up $2 today and the US market is just getting started.

This is another way for Russia to drive the oil prices up higher where she wants them as she is an exporter of oil. So a threat to the pipeline it is a win-win for her.

What's with Georgia/Russia/South Ossetia thingy?

GAMEPLAN This is another McCain-Giuliani-Perle-Lieberman connection. McCain has spent a lot of time in Soviet Georgia. As has one of his top advisors/lobbyist, Randy Schneumann. Ex-NY Mayor Giuliani and his business partners are backing McCain. The current Prez of Soviet Georgia is a NY attorney, recruited circa 1995 by Shevrednaze.

PREZ CANDIDATE RUDY GIULIANI HELD A CAMPAIGN FUND-RAISER IN KAZAKHSTAN. KAZAKHSTAN? WHERE IS KAZAKHSTAN? It is a former Soviet Union state, the only Central Asian country sharing borders with both Russia and China, and with states of nuclear-transit significance such as Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

GLOBAL STRATEGIC IMPORTANCE Kazakhstan is in the Strategic Energy Ellipse and is a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization with China and Russia. A focal point of influence between the West and the East.

WHAT IS KAZAKHSTAN'S MAIN INDUSTRY Kazakhstan aims to become the world’s largest producer and exporter of uranium in the next five years.

REFERENCE Giuliani Fund Raising Reaches Into Kazakhstan By MARY JACOBY, WS Journal, Sept 25, 2007; Page A6 http://online.wsj.com/article/SB119068473680038294.html Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s campaign is looking for political cash this week in an unlikely place: Resource-rich Kazakhstan----- where Giulian, Republican front-runner’s law firm's two offices does substantial business in the often murky oil, gas and minerals industries. A fund-raising event in Almaty, the commercial center of the former Soviet republic, will mark the campaign’s third foray overseas for cash. --snip--

Oh, yeah Perle (snicker)

GET OUT YOUR BARF BAGS According to the Wall Street Journal, US gov't infiltrator, Richard Perle (a self-described "Republican," former Pentagon official, Lieberman buddy, and Giuliani flacker) is plotting to establish an oil business in Iraq. Yup--Iraq. Perle was one of the phony "security experts" who schemed and colluded to make the case for the US invading Iraq (later found to be based on false info manufactured by Douglas Feith on his home computer). The WSJ says the Perle oil deal is being discussed with officials of northern Iraq's Kurdistan regional government, including its Washington envoy, according to documents. It would involve a tract called K18, near the Kurdish city of Erbil.

NAUSEA ATTACK Nothing in US history compares to spilling the blood of young Americans and raining trillions of US tax dollars into Iraq to pave the way for Perle's business plans. Nothing.
