AIDS apathy worries activists at world conference

MEXICO CITY (AFP) — Dozens of US AIDS activists demonstrated at a world AIDS conference here Wednesday calling on White House candidates to commit to HIV prevention, as experts warned of emerging US public indifference towards the disease.

"This complacency cuts across all the main sectors of society and will be one of the main challenges we will have moving forward," said Kevin Fenton, director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)...

AIDS is the biggest public health scam in medical history. Like global warming, AIDS is being used to push a powerful leftist political agenda. For over two decades the Public Health Establishment has used your tax dollars and the full power of the federal government to wage a massive propaganda (and intimidation) campaign designed to:

(A) dupe the American public into believing that HIV is the cause of AIDS
(B) scare the public into thinking "we are all at risk"
(C) coverup the extreme toxicity of AIDS chemotherapy drugs (which are not just used on "fast-track" gays and junkies, but also given to pregnant mothers, infants, and children)
(D)
use this fear to push a leftist social agenda that includes socialized medicine, and the promotion of homosexuality and explicit sex "education" to tender-aged school children
(E)
use their "public health mandate" to bypass the authority of parents and local school boards who object to their social engineering schemes
(F) create a massive federal bureaucracy encouraging the use of addictive drugs, to include prescription heroine
(G) use threats and intimidation to silence dissenting scientists and to keep the press from covering the debate
(H) and finally, to use AIDS as a model to push similar social agendas with respect to future epidemics.

Every single point above can be documented on my profile page.

If you would like to be added to the RETHINKING AIDS PING LIST drop me a FReepmail.

I have been apathetic about AIDS from the start. As a public health risk it barely registers on measures of mortality. All kinds of things cause more deaths per capita. The AIDS hysteria has been a totally political fiasco, much like Global Warming actually, totally out of proportion to reality.

"This complacency ... will be one of the main challenges we will have moving forward,"

"Mostly because it's hard to get people excited about preventing a disease that is spread by behavior most people find abominable anyway. We've got to find a way to make people feel guilty about letting degenerates suffer the consequences of their own actions, and let's face it, that takes some moral gynmastics that would make Mary Lou Retton look like a paraplegic."

The government has been throwing money into 'AIDS Prevention' for decades. It doesn't help when young homosexual men disregard any warnings, and have sex with as many men as they can. They're TRYING to get AIDS! It is THEIR complacency that's making the problem worse in America. Why waste government money on them?

It is even more difficult to treat a communicable disease like AIDS as it should have been back in 1981! Instead, it became politically protected, and allowed to run rampant among a self-targeting population. Any attempt to quarantine carriers was looked at as being sent to the concentration camps of Nazi Germany. AIDS could have been stopped in its tracks a long time ago. It would have saved Ryan White’s life and thousands of others!

You’re the one that’s stating something that challenges accepted logic and study. You should prove that HIV doesn’t cause AIDS. Since I’m the one that believes that HIV causes AIDS, I already know that if I injected myself with HIV, I’d get AIDS. However, your side doesn’t believe so. If you believe that HIV doesn’t cause AIDS, go ahead and inject yourself with HIV. Get a video of yourself and record yourself for the next 10 years. If you don’t suffer any health complications, then HIV truly doesn’t cause AIDS.

Actually, nevermind. The publishers of Continuum magazine also believed the same as you did. They died of some odd diseases.

I've been here since 2003. If you haven't heard of me, then you must have your head up your rear end. Quite frankly, I'm sick of denialists like you. I've debated them ad nauseum. The reason why I'm sick of denialists is because unlike you (I presume), I live in the middle of a large city. When you deny AIDS' causes, you don't see the aftereffects because probably, you don't live in the middle of a major city. I don't want to worry about is me getting HIV via a dirty handrail and a small cut on my hands. I also don't want to have to worry if I walk to the grocery store, a hypodermic needle sticks me and I might have to get emergency antiretroviral treatment. I also don't want to have to worry about my future wife getting infected by a broken shard of glass and me getting the disease. The reality from denying HIV would make people who already have HIV think that they have nothing dangerous, when in reality, they have a virus that causes a slow, degenerative disease that causes lots of pain and suffering before it kills you. I have family and friends that love me. I want the last words to my nephew be "You did your family proud", not telling him "I hope you win a ribbon at your field day at school." It's been proven beyond a doubt that HIV causes AIDS. There have been pictures of HIV coming out of a helper T Cell. HIV has also shown to have fit Koch's postulates. 1 2 And on a personal note, I've had many friends where I live who have had HIV and they're wasting away because of it. I've had a cousin die of AIDS. He was HIV positive for 10 years before he had AIDS. So the connection between HIV and AIDS is VERY real to me. I don't know how real it is to you, but I've seen the real effects of the "passenger virus".

Look idiot, there is no way to inject yourself with just the harmless virus ‘HIV.’ The cesspool that the HIV comes from has plenty of unpleasant deaths waiting.

Only a fool would allow any needle to penetrate their skin, let alone one that has been filled with who knows what garbage.

Did you notice that TypeZo is surrounded by people who have died or are dying of AIDS? Seeing how over 90% of AIDS cases are male, and virtually 100% of those males break down into two sub-risk groups—sodomites and junkies—one wonders which of those two peer groups TypeZo identifies with.

My uncle and my cousin and her best friend (AIDS AIDS AIDS!)
The gays and the straights
And the white and the spades

Everyone has AIDS!
My grandma and my dog ‘ol blue (AIDS AIDS AIDS)

C’mon everybody we got quilting to do (AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS AIDS)
We gotta break down these baricades, everyone has

Instead of wasting time insinuating about my drug use habits or my sexual orientation, try injecting yourself, provide video evidence of yourself being healthy for the next 15 years without the aid of antiretrovirals.

Verify that it’s you in that video. If you don’t get AIDS within 15 years, I will personally go on youtube, with my real name apologizing to you. (BTW, I have a lot dirty laundry in my past due to a Clintonesque indiscretion filled youth so I have A LOT to lose if I go public.)

So yeah, if you’re so sure about HIV not causing AIDS, go get an injection of pure HIV, post it on youtube and prove your theory. Now. Don’t insult me, don’t argue with me, prove it. I’ll be waiting. Until then, I will call all of your AIDS related postings BravoSierra.

You and all the people who think like you on FR sound like a bunch of raving leftists/gay activists. While it may serve your apparent purposes to delay exposing the AIDS scandal for 15 years, I want to expose it now. And as I said before, Duesberg, Rasnick, Ellison, and others have all volunteered to have themselves injected with HIV under the NIH’s human experimentation protocols. The NIH has refused. That tells me all I need to know. In the meantime, I will continue to point out the growing numbers of scientists and medical doctors who are challenging the HIV/AIDS hypothesis, and how the AIDS establishment bought off the homosexual lobby and then used our tax money to turn them into a political powerhouse that goes way beyond their numbers....etc, etc, etc.

Their offer to be injected was not genuine, and everyone knows it. They knew that NIH would not violate their own rules on human experimentation protocols, so they were free to "volunteer" to be injected because they knew there was no realistic chance that NIH would agree to participate under those conditions.

In any event, these AIDS-deniers take a dim view of the CDC and NIH- why would they be so interested in getting their approval for an experiment?

We spend too much money, per capita, on AIDS research (especially given the massive advances in AIDs-fighting drugs). But that doesn't support your position regarding the causes of AIDS.

Pray tell, where did you get this insight into their psyche. Are you a mind-reader now?

There is nothing in the human experimentation protocols that forbids such an experiment.

==In any event, these AIDS-deniers take a dim view of the CDC and NIH- why would they be so interested in getting their approval for an experiment?

Whereas the AIDS alarmists hold the CDC/NIH in very high esteem. As for why they need their approval...because they're not going to inject themselves for nothing. They want the CDC/NIH to agree to supervise and PUBLICIZE the experiment, and then REGULARLY report on their progress. These scientists don't throw away opportunities on stupid stunts...much to the chagrin of the AIDS alarmists.

An offer that you know the other party cannot or will not accept isn't a genuine offer- it's a cyncial move to score points.

There is nothing in the human experimentation protocols that forbids such an experiment.

You don't have to go any further than Basic Principle Number 1 of the World Medical Association's Helsinki Declaration (which the NIH folows):

It is the duty of the physician in medical research to protect the life, health, privacy, and dignity of the human subject.

http://ohsr.od.nih.gov/guidelines/helsinki.html

Knowingly infecting someone with an infectious disease violates this rule, as well as violating the Hippocratic Oath. The NIH rightfully refuses to take part in such experiements or to sanction them.

Why should the NIH take part in an experiment it has determined violates its own rules? These "scientists" are free to pursue their own experiments as they see fit- no one will stop them from injecting themselves with HIV. But the fact that they haven't the courage to do so leads me to conclude that they are more interested in publicity than actual science.

You forgot about Basic Principle Number 3:

“No experiment should be conducted where there is an a priori reason to believe that death or disabling injury will occur; except, perhaps, in those experiments where the experimental physicians also serve as subjects.”

That just leaves the possibility open with the "perhaps." But that creates a heavy burden on the person proposing such an experiment. One that Duerberg and co. have clearly not met.

He and the other AIDS Rethinker scientists disagree. If Duesberg et al are correct, then thousands upon thousands of people are being maimed and killed to detroy a harmless retrovirus. Moreover, the AIDS establishment have good reasons for letting them go through with the experiment too. After all, the Rethinking AIDS movement is growing all the time. That means people might not practice safe sex! People might refuse AIDS chemotherapy! People might start demanding cuts in AIDS funding! People might start saying how could the NIH/CDC be so stupid, and why should we ever trust them again!
