"I sat there(on the House Floor) side by side with the American People.." Congressman Duncan Hunter (35 minutes into show)...

There has never been a time in our history when this has occurred. The House is adjourned, but a demonstration from the House Memebers is taking place on the House Floor, and the American Folks are sitting in the empty seats, personally telling their stories to their Representatives, and watching speeches from the Floor in person. This is not a "Constituent Day" this is a full week of HISTORY!

Call to action for today folks-

CALL THE "establishment" that claims to be the leader of Free Speech in our country. Ask them to define news. Ask them if they understand what "news" actually is. Ask them if HISTORY is news. This event WILL be inclided in the history books, and it will also note that this was the beginning of the end for the "establishment media."

There is a lot happening today, but this is important BECAUSE of what is happening. Russia has declared war on Georgia - will this impact oil prices? It certainly could.

'Gohmert told me, “If they stick in a moratorium to prevent us getting oil and gas from our outer continental shelf to help the American people…they put that in to a continuing resolution to keep the government going. I’m sorry -- I’ve got to keep the American people going who can’t afford these gas prices. I’m voting against it, no matter what bill they stick it in. If it’s to honor my mother, my mother would understand, rest her soul, I would vote against it. We have got to take this stand.”

This is from Babbin's article. The dims say they will fight against the ban expiring by adding it to the appropriation bills that still have not been passed.

Absolutely it will have an effect on the oil question. If this escalates even more, the LAST thing we do is touch our Strategic Reserve. This is an execellent example of why. And the Republicans can point out the Dems stupidity in demanding to use them.

Pelosi signed copies of her new book “Know Your Power: A Message To America’s Daughters” at Temple Judea in Coral Gables.

Outside the temple, protesters echoed Republican demands that the speaker bring Congress back into session to vote on a new energy plan.

“If she would at least let it go to a vote, if it wins, it wins. If it loses, it loses, and I accept that,” said protester Pinchas Schachter. “But for someone to pull a tactic like that, that’s something right out of a communist country.

Pelosi’s office noted that a majority of Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives voted against 13 Democratic proposals to address energy supplies. Her office said drilling on protected land would not lower gas prices.

All the more reason FOR IT TO GET ATTENTION. Oil will go through the roof, if this ‘skirmish’ intensifies.

Couple that with the fact that Iran threatened to close the Straits of Hormuz again yesterday and you get an idea of how irresponsible it is for the Democrats and Obama to tap the Strategic Oil reserves!

Heard on the news this morning that the bus in Dallas that flipped over the overpass had a tire blow out. Wonder if they over inflated their tires to save gas? Sad situation.
