About 30 protesters withstood a rainstorm to send Pelosi and her supporters a message, however. Those still gathered after Pelosi’s booksigning said skyrocketing gas prices brought them out, and that Pelosi should be in Washington working on energy talks and solutions to high gas prices. Critics say some Democrats - Pelosi chief among them - have forestalled the energy debate, especially the question of domestic and offshore drilling.
“I think it’s a disgrace that she is here on a book tour while there is no debate (going on in Congress),” said Joan Fabiano of Holt, who stood outside with others holding signs and banners.
“This is the number one issue affecting people’s pocketbooks, especially here in Michigan,” said Bill Nowling, spokesman for the Michigan Republican Party. “We don’t need to be on vacation.”

I can’t afford to take a vacation this summer, but Nancy Pelosi is taking five weeks off to jet around the country, on my dime... ‘Cause you just know she isn’t paying for all this travel out of her own pocket.
This congress has had more time off than actual work. This is why her Congress is at 16% not long ago. Even before her it was a do nothing congress in all fairness but she hasn't changed much of anything.

Yep. We didn’t take a vacation either. Food and gas prices sucked out the extra we usually had to put back for that.

Someone post her signing schedule and Freep every single stop. This article says 200 attended. I’ll knock off the liberal count and place the number at 160. If we had known about this in advance, there could have been more outside then inside.
