CAPITOL HILL (CNN) — The lines between celebrity and politician blurred into a haze Thursday at a Republican news conference, as one congressman began pushing Paris Hilton's “plan” on energy.
"Let's bring up the Paris Hilton plan," goaded Rep. Michael Burgess, R-Texas.
Burgess and his fellow Republicans are in day five energy speeches on the House floor, despite the fact that the chamber is closed for August recess. They're trying to pressure House Speaker Nancy Pelosi into holding a vote on offshore oil drilling.

Oh that’ll never work! Washington DC has become less about getting things done and more about not doing what the other guys wants so he can pound his chest for display about how bad the other guy is.

Paris Hilton makes a pretty good living independent of her family money. She has greater experience and more success in free market capitalism than Obama does. She does not advocate surrender to terrorists and she does not loath the military. She does not attend a church with a racist America hating pastor and she does not hang around with 1960’s radical domestic terrorists.
With Paris, what you see is what you get. Not so with Obama. Plus, Paris does not go ballistic if someone pokes fun at her. All in all, I like her better than I do Obama and she is way easier on the eyes.

If the choice was between Obama and Paris, it would be no contest. Paris all the way. Between Paris and McCain, I would need to know more about Paris’s stance on global warming, taxes, and terrorism.

I agree with you. I don’t know why people are so hard on her except it is easy? They don’t do that to young men who kick up their heels on their way to being successful businessmen.

since the MSM is like totally ignoring the Republicans now protesting in the dark House of Representatives, asking her to come and join them, would be brilliant, the MSM would have to cover it.

If she runs for president, and I was not going to vote, I would vote for her, though. As you stated, she is easier on the eyes.
Also, she is not a liar like the rest (OB, Hillary, McNut). She may be everything else, but not a political liar.
