Israeli TV ad poking fun at oil sheikhs draws Saudi ire

Saudi Arabia's MBC TV began its Sunday night news edition not with Syrian President Bashar Assad's trip to Iran, nor with Palestinian infighting in Gaza - but with an outraged report on an Israeli TV commercial. The advertisement shows wealthy Arab oil barons enraged that a Nissan car is so fuel efficient.

I noticed in college that what is funny or humorous to one ethnic group isn’t always funny to another.
When living in Europe I would go to the cinema and laugh at something in a film and would be laughing alone. Then there were times when everyone else would be snickering and chortling and I had no idea why!

Is it just me, or did that Saudi spokesgeek threaten “punishments” against Nissan? The next ad should make fun of Saudi Arabia’s gender apartheid (female drivers?), and the one after that should portray a synagogue in Mecca, etc.
