Visiting Speaker Pelosi

As we all know, the prices for gasoline are absurd. At the same time, the Dhimmicrats, led by their Speaker Pelosi, have barred any efforts to drill for oil both in the ANWR and offshore. At the same time, our offshore oil goes to the Chinese, which I find absurd.

Now, the Dhimmicrats decided to go and take a five-week long paid vacation. Coincidentally, Speaker Pelosi is taking time to promote her book. She will be appearing at a number of locations for signings.

It struck me that visiting her during these signings is a darned good way to show her how most Americans feel about her and her Congress (14% approval). In addition, we might just spark enough fuss for people to wonder why she's doing a book tour when the economy is a mess.

She will be in Boston on the 4th, Philly the 5th, Miami the 6th, and Ann Arbor on the 7th. After that, she'll be in LA on the 11th. Then, she has three dates in the SF Bay (San Rafael on the 12th, Redwood City on the 13th, and SF itself on the 14th.) Finally, she wraps it up in Denver on the 20th.

That's an awful lot of wasted energy.

Pelosi has requested a C-32 plane for her travels -- a luxurious and specially configured version of the Boeing 757-200 commercial intercontinental airliner. The plane seats 45 passengers with business-class accommodations and a crew of up to 16, depending on the mission. It features a communications center, a fully enclosed stateroom for the primary passenger, a changing area, a conference facility, an entertainment system, and a convertible divan that seats three and folds out to a bed. The C-32 can cost as much as $22,000 an hour to operate. It's normally used by the first lady, the vice president, Cabinet officials and members of Congress upon request.
