Test: How to tell if you’re a moonbat
Boston Herald ^ | August 3, 2008 | Howie Carr

Posted on 08/03/2008 9:27:25 AM PDT by afortiori

For those who came in late, moonbats are trust-funded, medicated, middle-aged, white-guilt-ridden blogging lefty losers who inflicted Deval Patrick upon the working people. The moonbats now yearn to elect Sen. Barack Obama, a Deval on steroids.

If you are a guy with a ponytail, chances are you’re a moonbat - if you have a wide-brim leather hat too, the odds rise to 100 percent. If you’re a woman and you bring knitting to public meetings, consider yourself positively ID’ed.

Like most people, I know ’em when I see ’em. But if you are wondering whether or not you are a moonbat, here are some of the most obvious traits:

FYI: State Senator Jim “Aqualung” Marzilli from Arlington is facing numerous charges for allegedly accosting women, at least once while “sitting on a park bench” as he inquired about the woman's personal shaving habits.

Heh, heh. This article is begging for additional examples.

You might be a moonbat if...

you think American kids should learn Spanish but Mexican kids in America shouldn't have to learn English

you think sex education should be taught in kindergarten

you think you can lower the sea levels by switching to compact fluorescent light bulbs

you think you can save as much oil as drilling would produce if you just inflate your tires properly

you call yourself a Citizen of the World.

"Test: How to tell if you’re a moonbat"

...you consider Fairey's artwork "cool".

From Barack Obama's official website:

“I wanted to make an art piece of Barack Obama because I thought an iconic portrait of him could symbolize and amplify the importance of his mission. I believe Obama will guide this country to a future where everyone can thrive and I should support him vigorously for the sake of my two young daughters. I have made art opposing the Iraq war for several years, and making art of Obama, who opposed the war from the start, is like making art for peace. I know I have an audience of young art fans and I’m delighted if I can encourage them to see the merits of Barack Obama.

-Shepard Fairey
http://store.barackobama.com/product_p/po26951.htm

See? It's all about "peace, love, togetherness" and "change".

Here are some of Fairey's other masterpieces. No joke. Most of his works are along these same lines. Check the link.

From a 'thank you' letter Barack Obama sent to Shepard Fairey:
"Dear Shepard, I would like to thank you for using your talent in support of my campaign. The political messages involved in your work have encouraged Americans to believe they can help change the status quo. Your images have a profound effect on people, whether seen in a gallery or on a stop sign.'"

Michael Moore is one of your primary sources for inspiration.

Michael Moore (quote), from his website, April 14, 2004...

"The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not 'insurgents' or 'terrorists' or 'The Enemy.' They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win. Get it, Mr. Bush?"
[actual quote from Michael Moore (2004). It still appears on his website]

The Communist Party USA (CPUSA):
"We are a party of unity in action. We are an integral part of every struggle and movement for change to eliminate poverty and joblessness, against racism and for full equality. We are participants, initiators and leaders of every movement to make life better now and much better in a socialist future." Yeah, so they supported an oppressive dictator, like the Repubs and Democrats haven't? The CP is still around, has apologized for that whole Stalin thing, and has a quickly growing youth section.

My Vote's for Obama (if I could vote) ...by Michael Moore

Friends,

I don't get to vote for President this primary season. I live in Michigan. The party leaders (both here and in D.C.) couldn't get their act together, and thus our votes will not be counted.

So, if you live in Pennsylvania, can you do me a favor? Will you please cast my vote -- and yours -- on Tuesday for Senator Barack Obama?

Yeah. I find it more convenient to tie my hair back than try to get to a barber often enough to keep it out of my eyes. It has the added bonus of helping keep my neck warm in winter, and is a holdover biker thing as well.

Definitely not a moonbat, even though my old Stetson has a wide brim, too.

This must be for city folks.

The thing is there are a lot of old hippies(not bikers)running around with long gray hair in pony tails, I believe they outnumber the ones who just wear their hair that way because it is easier than going to a barber(actually when I get to that point I shave my head, it is easier and cheaper and I don’t care what I look like any more). I am sure no insult was intended to old bikers(me being one of those)or cowboys(have never been one of those)or people who simply wear cowboy hats. :)

"You might be a moonbat if..."

You believe Jane Fonda is someone to be admired.

November 22, 1970 -- During a fund-raising tour for GI deserters, Vietnam Veterans Against the War and the Black Panthers, Jane Fonda is quoted in the Detroit Free Press as telling a University of Michigan audience:

"I would think that if you understood what communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees that we would someday become communist," and "The peace proposal of the Viet Cong is the only honorable, just, possible way to achieve peace in Vietnam."
http://www.wintersoldier.com/index.php?topic=Timeline

Fonda made the following statement at the University of Texas:
"We've got to establish a Socialist economic structure that will limit private profit-oriented businesses. Whether the transition is peaceful depends on the way our present governmental leaders react. We must commit our lives to this transition ...... We should be very proud of our new breed of soldier. It's not organized but it's mutiny, and they have every right." --Karen Elliott Dallas Morning News December 11, 1971

From 1972: "I am not a do-gooder, I am a revolutionary. A revolutionary woman."

Source for most of the Jane Fonda material:
http://www.1stcavmedic.com/jane_fonda.htm

TODAY: 2008! Fonda is STILL supporting revolutionary communist causes!
She's one of many endorsers of the World Can't Wait movement.

To find Fonda's name, click on the WCW link just below and see: "Endorsers of the Call to Drive Out the Bush Regime Include". Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, John Conyers', endorsement appears right after Ward Churchill's. Al Sharpton's, Maxine Waters and Jesse Jackson Jr's endorsements are also on the list:
http://worldcantwait.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2538&Itemid=2

World Can't Wait--Drive Out the Bush Regime is a Maoist-revolutionary movement/organization initiated and controlled by the Revolutionary Communist Party. (scroll down the list that appears (after clicking link) to find the World Can't Wait organization --rwor.org is the website of the Revolutionary Communist Party):
http://rwor.org/a/rwlink/links.htm

From David Horowitz's FrontpageMag.com /DiscoverTheNetworks.org:
Profile: World Can't Wait (WCW)

*Revolutionary communist movement that stages protests against the Bush administration

*Organizes college and high-school students

*Founded in June 2005 by Charles Clark Kissinger, a longtime leader of the Revolutionary Communist Party

I'm thinking the first comment at the site posted sums it all up nicely:

from: doglessMike

Talk about stereotyping! The only difference between left and right in this country is what type of speech you want to suppress.

What the rambling deuce? Conservatives love it when moonbats like Cindy Sheehan are front and center. Nothing better to bring people over to your side than let the other side demonstrate that they are stark staring mad.

Quite a few atheists are conservative.

I'm not getting the segue here.

And there's no such thing as an antiwar march, because at the last "antiwar" march I saw, at least 95% of the protest signs had nothing to do with the war.

Perpetually aggrieved moonbats protest everything, all the time, because they are spoiled rotten trust fund brats just like Howie Carr says.

Top ten moonbat reasons 1+1 can not equal 2:

10. Many rich white males say that it does, so we have to consider their real motives.

9. Integers emphasize the corporate model of the separation of things rather than their fundamental unity.

8. The number 1, from its phallic shape to its association with monotheism, is a patriarchal concept. Implying that duplication of the partiarchy equals the more feminine 2 is an attempt to redefine feminism in the male experience.

7. The use of the number 2 is an attempt to denormalize and silence polygamy.

6. The equation only uses so-called positive numbers, and therefore negates the experience of 50 percent of the integers.

5. Furthermore, the use of “positive” numbers shows a state of denial when so many negative things are happening under the Bush-Cheney junta.

4. The use of addition posits a model of unlimited growth in a world that is already straining under man’s domination.

3. It is racist and sexist to talk about equality in a world where inequality is the norm.

2. The equation is a distraction from the crimes of the Bush-Cheney regime.

1. It’s teaching to the test!

"You might be a moonbat if..."

You consider college professor Ward Churchill a great intellect.

August, 2003: Ward Churchill Caught On Tape Advocating Terrorism [vs Fellow Americans]

Audio link at Michell Malkin's website (included below)

Question from audience:
You mentioned a little bit ago, "Why did it take a bunch of Arabs to do what you all should have done a long time ago," that's my question.

Churchill: I'm gonna repeat that, tell me if I got that right: Why shouldn't we do something and how do you you move so they don't see you coming.

As to the first part, not a reason in the world that I could see. I can't find a single reason that you shouldn't in a principled way —there may be some practical considerations, such as do you know how (laughter from audience)

—you know, often these things are processes. It's not just an impulse. And certainly it's not just an event.

And the simple answer, although it probably should be more complicated, but I'm not being flip and giving the simple answer, is:
You carry the weapon. That's how they don't see it coming. You're the one...

They talk about "color blind or blind to your color." You said it yourself.

You don't send the Black Liberation Army into Wall Street to conduct an action.

You don't send the American Indian Movement into downtown Seattle to conduct an action.

Who do you send? You. Your beard shaved, your hair cut close, and wearing a banker's suit.

There's probably a whole lot more to it, you know that. But there's where you start. ..."

Audio link at:
http://michellemalkin.com/archives/001588.htm

___________________________________________________________

Churchill, 1 day after the 911 attacks...

"As for those in the World Trade Center... Well, really, let's get a grip here, shall we? True enough, they were civilians of a sort. But innocent? Gimme a break. They formed a technocratic corps at the very heart of America's global financial empire - the 'mighty engine of profit' to which the military dimension of U.S. policy has always been enslaved - and they did so both willingly and knowingly. Recourse to 'ignorance' - a derivative, after all, of the word 'ignore' - counts as less than an excuse among this relatively well-educated elite. To the extent that any of them were unaware of the costs and consequences to others of what they were involved in - and in many cases excelling at - it was because of their absolute refusal to see. More likely, it was because they were too busy braying, incessantly and self-importantly, into their cell phones, arranging power lunches and stock transactions, each of which translated, conveniently out of sight, mind and smelling distance, into the starved and rotting flesh of infants. If there was a better, more effective, or in fact any other way of visiting some penalty befitting their participation upon the little Eichmanns inhabiting the sterile sanctuary of the twin towers, I'd really be interested in hearing about it.[1]

All moonbats mighthave ponytails but not all ponytailed people are moonbats. My Dh’s hair is longer than mine is but our politics don’t match our looks. I always tell him if we go to a rally he’d better wear a union T shirt because the way we look he’d surely be put right up behind the candidate! ;)

I just got my order of "is gay" bumper stickers so I can repair all the Obama bumper stickers in Santa Barbara.

Another favorite "repair" is replacing the red heart with a brass screw. The possibilities are endless.

All moonbats might have ponytails but not all ponytailed people are moonbats.

I never said that. Churchill is a moonbat leader because of the things he's said and done.
