UPDATE:

Murder of Assad's Advisor Puts Syria in 'Bad Condition'

(IsraelNN.com) Mohammed Suleiman, the senior advisor to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and liason officer to Hizbullah who was assassinated by a sniper over the weekend, was even stronger than Syria's defense minister, according to a source quoted in London-based Arabic-language newspaper ash-Sharq il-Awsat. According to the source, his death has left the Syrian regime "in a bad and complicated condition."

Suleiman, a member of the Alawites sect and close friend of al-Assad's deceased brother and former heir to the throne Bassel, was responsible for all of Syria's sensitive security issues, according to the source, as well as for economic and armament issues.

That's what I've heard, that this guy was pretty much the #1 man in the regime for key issues. Assad is a figurehead, or was, if this is his way of asserting control. Whoever is responsible, it sure will make things lively in Syria for quite awhile to come. May they all kill each other off in that loathsome regime!!! or if it's Hizbullah behind the deed, let the Syrians and Hizu-Nazis kill each other off quick.

Don’t really care who pulled the trigger, though I do want them as a posterboy for “Gun Control: One Shot, One Hit - That’s real gun control!”

The bastard is dead. Good enough for me!!

Hizballah affiliation seems to be a rule.

No need for a ground war, Israel already seems to occupy Syria, operating at will.

Tempo could increase, decrease or stay the same.

will see if Hezbollah and Syria get the message . . . it’s pretty obvious Israel doesn’t want Hezbollah setting up this new anti-air defense network - maybe Syria won’t deliver the goods - not holding my breathe

>>>Hey, is that Mookie down there in the front row, center bottom of picture?<<<

That is what I thought looking at it first time - sure is a "dead ringer" (sorry for the freudian slip) if it isn't him.

I'll hoist a beer when someone puts a 9mm in his temple.
