Wexler Begs for Help Against 'Ultra-Conservative Radio and Television Hosts'
newsbusters.org ^ | August 1, 2008 | Jeff Poor

Rep. Robert Wexler is getting desperate.

After several media outlets discovered the Democratic congressman from Florida uses his in-laws' house in a Florida retirement community to meet residency requirements, he has sent out an e-mail (entire text here) asking for campaign donations - alleging it's his "strong and vocal stands in favor of impeaching President Bush and Vice President Cheney" that has made him a target of "ultra-conservative" media.

"In the eyes of the right wing, I am seen, along with Rep. Kucinich, as one of the symbols of the impeachment fight. They believe that if they defeat me - they defeat our cause," Wexler wrote. "For the last week, I've been relentlessly targeted by ultra-conservative radio and television hosts, as well as my local media. It has taken a toll. Now more than ever, I need your support to help me stay in Congress to represent your voice in Washington."

This guy is on cable television news almost more than any other congressman and here he is panhandling because of the mean "right-wing" media?

You mean that phony is blaming the messenger after being outed for not living in his Florida district? He has no one but himself to blame for his troubles!

Wexler is safe. If a district is bad enough to elect him in the first place, a small problem like him living in another state being exposed on FoxNews should be no problem.

Why wouldn't he do that?

Not that it's not contemptible, but lots of dims (and some pubbies too I'm sure), run out and ask their constituents for money when their opponent strikes a raw nerve.

I think it's a trained response, like salivating at the sound of a dinner bell

Sounds to me like Wexler is beginning to get phone calls and emails from the voters in his district.

Even so, he’s really got a heck of an ego thinking Rush, Levin and Hannity are wasting their breath on him because he was for “impeachment” - which all conservative talk radio thought was ridiculous to begin with. No, Wexler, they’re coming after you because you play fast and loose with the rules, and they know that if you had had an “R” next to your name, you would have been denounced nightly in the liberal media, and Nancy Pelousy would be calling for you to resign.

These are the same people that vote absentee in both Florida and New York, right? What would they care about a Congressman who plays loose with the rules?

What is an “Ultra-Conservative” anyways? Is that, like, someone who wants to revert humanity back to using stone tools and hunting Mammoths? And isn’t that more in line with Environmentalist thinking?

Wexler is having delusions of adequacy.

The “right wing” media doesn’t give a sh#t about his crackpot stance on impeachment, he’s a whacko leftie loon and doesn’t merit attention.

what they do care about, though, is the little turd’s residency shenanigans. I’d STILL like to know where he is registered to vote..

Wexler, you are one of the biggest p*ssies on Capitol Hill. I hope Rush, or Hannity, or Boortz, or Savage start a regular weekly segment on you, because there's nothing more amusing than watching a thumb-sucking Leftist asshat disintegrate.

An ultra-conservative is someone who ultra-doesn’t agree with his views or perhaps someone who is ultra-slightly to the right of him.

Wexler is the goofball who on Election night 2000, was mugging in the cameras, claiming that senior citizens had sought him out in the parking lots of polling places, “literally crying” at the possibility that the infamous ‘butterfly ballot’ might have caused them to cast their votes for (*gasp*) Pat Buchanan instead of Al Gore, he did as much to try and help Gore steal the election as anyone else in the ‘Rat conspiracy that unfolded before us.

The joke in Florida is that Wexler was refused permission to donate his organs in case of his death because there is some concern that donated organs can provoke behavior in the recipient that is similar to what was once exhibited in the donor.

Wexler is what happens when petrie dishes collide.

If someone wants to cause him even more trouble just find out which retirement community he's been living in. They all have rules regarding extended stays by none residents. With any luck his in-laws get kicked out, as a result his wife leaves him and he has to live under a bridge in Overtown where he is physically abused on a nightly basis.

Sorry my mind tends to race when it comes to how much I dislike Wexler.

(His adopted father reportedly renounced Obama’s USA citizenship to adopt him in Indonesia.)

"How long before DC or the State of Maryland goes after him for back income taxes?"

He lives in rich Potomac, Md. If you in Maryland for six months or more you're considered a part time resident and have to pay state income tax. Considering the current regime running the state house and the legislature, I doubt if they will go after a fellow leftist DemonRAT.

Even IF I were a Dem, I’d be furious about this ... first, abiyt his not living in the district he ‘represents,’ and secondly, his wasting time for which taxpayer dollars are paying him, baying at the moon with his impeachment talk. That is the biggest waste of time when there are real issue the Congress should be handling.

We need to study the demographics of his District to see if there is any hope of sending his sorry butt back there. Tho, it’d get tight in the in-laws’ condo with him, the wife, and kiddies.

All Right. That's enough. I won't have you mean people picking on my congressman like this. /s/

If I had known this weasel was going to represent me when I moved down here in 2001, I'd have settled about five miles further north, then I could be working to get Alan West elected.
