Hello FRiends,
I know I've gone into lurker mode after being active here on a daily basis for so very long. I've come to you today to humbly ask for prayers from the very best Prayer Warriors I know. You've come through so many times in the past, and this time I make the request with the permission of a friend of mine.
She is the mother of a 2 boys and also a 5 month old baby who has Down's Syndrome. Her baby girl "G" is currently undergoing a battery of tests and they both have been in the hospital for a week or so, with more tests coming.
Baby "G" has an enlarged heart, and one of her lungs is smaller than the other. Her mother, my friend, told me the CAT scan "doesn't look good". They've been giving her extra oxygen to try to inflate the smaller lung. Her lungs have fluid in them, and the latest test will be a biopsy to test the fluid & determine the cause. This is as best I can recall from what I was told, and if something here doesn't make sense, consider it my own error.
This precious baby is still smiling at her mama and is such a trooper while the doctors poke & prod her to find out the cause of her condition. Her mother is hanging on to hope, but she could use some additional prayers to help strengthen her resolve. She is afraid as any parent would be for her daughter not knowing what the prognosis is for her.
Please if you can find a moment to send them both your prayers, especially to Baby "G". She's a precious little darling who already has brought so much happiness to her family. Thank you very much.

My youngest, now 25, was born with Down Syndrome and what was then an always fatal heart defect with lung involvement. A magnificent doctor, from Guatemala of all places, was God’s instrument of healing for my son. I know what this family is going through.
Heavenly Father, physician of our souls and bodies, Who have sent Your only-begotten Son and our Lord Jesus Christ to heal every sickness and infirmity, visit and heal also Your little servant from all physical and spiritual ailments through the grace of Your Christ. Grant her patience in this sickness, strength of body and spirit, and recovery of health. Lord, You have taught us through Your word to pray for each other that we may be healed. I pray, heal Your angelic servant and grant to her the gift of complete health. For You are the source of healing and to You I give glory, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
May God’s grace comfort and strengthen you.
May his blessings be among you at this time of need.

Healing prayers going up for this precious little one and her mama...I totally feel for her mom having just had twins myself—it’s so hard to feel helpless when you see your baby in need! :*( But God knows exactly what G needs and I honestly believe we will see a miracle with this little girl’s health.
We will continue praying for complete healing for G, and many more gummy smile pictures in the future! :*)

My day-old grandson was found to have fluid in his lungs, after his father saw through the nursery window that he was having difficulty breathing. The baby was transferred to the neonatal ICU, where he spent a week.
Prayers by Freepers were the greatest comfort to my daughter who hated to go home without her baby, who now is an active boy of almost 3.
