North American Union: The dream 'is dead'
The worldnetdaily.com ^ | July 28, 2008 | Jerome R. Corsi

The Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America is dead, says Robert A. Pastor, the American University professor who for more than a decade has been a major proponent of building a North American Community.

"The new president will probably discard the SPP,"

Do not celebrate too soon.
With the way McCain wants open borders and amnesty, if he is elected I would not be surprised if Juan pushed this nonsense too.
As for Obamma Lamma, GOD only knows how he’d screw up the U.S.A.

The lie for public consumption:

“In a commentary authored for WND, Pastor stressed, “I do not propose a North American Union; I propose a North American Community.”

And the real objective: (complete with weasel words)

“Noting that the European Community was a transitional state between the European Common Market and the European Union, Pastor conceded to WND that, “I don’t think a political union of North America is an inherently bad idea, nor do I think it is a good idea for right now.”

And GW worked so hard for it .... and amnesty.

Don’t bet the farm on it being dead.

It is like Comprehensive Immigration Reform. It won't be dead until

a wooden stake is driven through the heart,
it is salted,
disemboweled,
covered with garlic
sprinkled, no, drenched with holy water,
and salt,
burned
and buried under a silver cross,

It ain’t dead, yet. Politicians seem to always have a way of resurrecting these things.

Exactly right Joe. This isn’t dead by a long shot. I’m not sure what this prick’s game is, but Juan and Barack aren’t going to nix this plan.

I have read where there have been study groups working out the myriad of technicalities that need to be smoothed out during the meeting of the three nation’s leaders over the last five years or so.

You didn’t used to have these large work groups, but about five years ago the numbers of staff members ballooned to tackle this project. They aren’t planning on abandoning this effort. You can take that to the bank.

As for the notion the bunch in Washington has given up on this North American Union....if you believe that...I've got a bridge I'll sell ya.

How many times have we “hoped” we had the illegal amnesty put to rest only to have it rear its ugly head in another bill disguised in the fine print or tacked onto another piece of legislation...that the crooks and self serving boobs in Congress hope that we won't catch on to till it's too late. They are a bunch of weasels who will stop at nothing to destroy our country as she has been...(she's already changed more than I can stand, thanks to the far lefties and RINOS in positions of power).

"We've won this fight"

Dream on.

SPP has been delayed because immigration reform was delayed and REAL ID was delayed.

When the Lugar/Harris legislation on North American Perimeter Security(2005) became politically unfeasible, they backed up, changed the name, an appropriated money to aid Mexico in drug intervention, which will also be used to secure Mexico's perimeter.

Obviously, if Obama wins, there will be some changes. In his long article on Mexican foreign policy, published in the Dallas News, prior to the Texas primary, Obama criticized the way Bush had allowed only the NACC/transnationals to participate in planning the SPP. Obama said he would bring Civil Society, enviros, and unions to the table to provide input.

Dat be true. Open borders is just code talk for anyone who espouses the North American Union. They'll piece-meal it in, if they have to. Sure, ease up on the border issue for a while, but press down on the Amero, or any one of a hundred other issues that must be initiated or finalized as the NAU starts shaping up and taking form.

There’s nothing wrong with these folks that a wall and five or six bullets wouldn’t cure.

These people want to destroy our government in favor of dissolving our nation and replacing it with an international multi-state version.

They should be charged and tried for their actions.

I did a quick news search. I came up with about the same thing as B4Ranch. No mention of it since last fall.

He was a long time supporter but now seems to be wavering on some of the language and might seek "changes." There was no real detail as to what those changes might be. In other words, he's positioned himself to say he opposes it (but probably won't, IMO).

He had used that same tactic when it came to the International Criminal Court also. He was a decided supporter of both the ICC and LOST in the late 1990s. Since then he has hedged his bets a bit. Saying you still want these things, but you want them fixed first is very problematic.

Okay, you get them fixed. Then you join. Then what?

Do we simply drop out if the fixing doesn’t stay fixed? How do you drop out of LOST when all the nations of the world have signed on and it’s a thriving enterprise? How do we stop the U.N.’s income stream? Have we dropped out of the U.N. when it didn’t stay fixed?

These international “TRAPS” are something I think we should avoid like the plague. When a guy starts talking about what a good idea these things are, it’s a clear sign of them not knowing what they hell they are talking about.

That’s my take on it, at any rate.

BTW, I agree with your take. He’s not going to buck the globalist desires here. He’s closing Gitmo because the European nations want him to. He’s a limp wrist when it comes to world opinion.

He’s a sure bet to put us in LOST and the ICC IMO. I think he’s a sure bet on the three nation security plan and movement toward a NAU.

He’s such a pushover on Gitmo, he has sworn to close it on his first day in office. So what happens to all the other prisons around the world, where we hold terrorists?

Senator McCain’s full statement was posted October 25 (2007) as follows:

"I’d like to make some changes to it. I think that we need a Law of the Sea. I think it’s important, but I have not frankly looked too carefully at the latest situation as it is, but it would be nice if we had some of the provisions in it. But I do worry a lot about American sovereignty aspects of it, so I would probably vote against it in its present form.

"I would like to see a treaty as far something to bring order, for example, in a place like the Arctic right now, where thanks to climate change, it’s going to be far more important than it was. You watch the Russians asserting their sovereignty over it, and I’d like to see some order out of that chaos. But I’m just too concerned about the aspect of United States sovereignty being handed over to some international organization. (Emphasis added)"

"We really really need it for a variety of reasons, but I would probably vote against it."  I feel so much better.  We're safe!  No need to worry here.

It touches on McCain's statements or actions related to LOST prominantly.

The article was titled, "UN Double Talk from Straight Talker McCain".

This isn’t dead as long as a single globalist is in washington capable and willing to resurrecting it.

Do not be deceived, like the criminal alien amnesty it will come back in many smaller fragments, each when assembled recreating the original abomination once more.

We've won this fight! I want to say, "Thank you all who stood tall for America."

I hope that you are right. But the CFR have been, for now over 85 years, a group of well educated losers, who refuse to accept defeat. The organization was originally formed in the early 1920s by those upset over the fact that Wilson lost the debate over the League of Nations. They have been pushing ever since for more of the Wilsonian abandonment of the Washington/Jefferson foreign policy. They were instrumental in suppressing real debate over the United Nations, at the time of Ratification. They will continue to push.

Meanwhile, our capacity to resist continues to be undermined, on a long-term basis, by increasing evidence of a loss of any American identity. More significant than Senator Obama, himself, is what the wide-spread adulation for his candidacy tells us about how native Americans have come to see themselves--or not to see themselves. Obama is incidental, he would get no where as President with Congress, were it not for the fact that fewer and fewer among us, even care about the things that Congress would otherwise be expected to resist. Rather, more and more seemed desirous of purging their imaginary guilt over a heritage that once made all of us proud.

My current Feature at the Website addresses the real problem, as I see it:

Reflections On An Unfortunate Milestone--The Accidental American.
