We, as parents, are well aware of the importance of our teachers who teach and program our children. We also know how important it is for our children to play with good-thinking children growing up.
Sen. Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of very angry, militant white and black people: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger. We cannot say we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry. We know too well that we become like them, and Mr. Obama will run this country in their mindset.

Angelina’s dad?
Jon Voight on an angry Obama ping.
Very excellent!
I bought his old convertible
He’s not one to talk about fatherhood, is he.
YES................
Yes, he’s quite conservative.
John Voight, the Orthodontist’s?
Yup, and he’s a good conservative. Has guested on Mark Levin and Glen Beck.
Oh, really? It must be worth a lot of money now.
I read where she said people assume she’s a liberal, but she’s an Independent. She looks at the issues and votes for the best person based on the issues. Seems like a pretty thoughtful person to me. Perhaps her dad has had some good influence on her.
Unfortunately, the socialist seeds were planted in Obama and our children a long time ago. If the young population actually shows up to vote, the vote will reflect the indoctrination that has been going on for far too long.
Socialism is rearing its head in both parties right now.
WOW!!! For a Hollywood actor to take such a brave stand against Obama is really amazing.
Oh, shush...
this coming from Milo Minderbinder, Luke Martin and Joe Buck? However, I do believe...
somewhere Woodrow F. Call is smiling!
John’s, no Jon’s.
Jon Voight gets it bigtime.
That's great! News like this just makes me... wanna squeal like a pig.
GEORGE: So?
JERRY: C’mon, put the top up, it’s November!
GEORGE: I feel alive, Jerry.
JERRY: Let’s check out the glove box. [Opens the glove compartment, takes out a pencil.] Ah. Pencil.
GEORGE: Hey...you don’t think...sure, that’s Jon Voight’s pencil!
JERRY: With Jon Voight’s teeth marks. [Looks at the owner’s manual.] Owner’s manual...you know what? This car was owned by Jon Voight.
GEORGE: Ah! See? I told ya.
JERRY: Except Jon is spelled with an H. J-O-H-N.
GEORGE: So?
JERRY: Doesn’t Jon Voight spell his name J-O-N?
GEORGE (pulls over): So, what are you saying?
JERRY: Nothing. I’m sure “Jon” probably mispelled his own name. I know sometimes I spell Jerry with a G...and an I! [Laughs uproariously.]
GEORGE (angrily): Get out of the car!
JERRY: What?
GEORGE: That’s right, you heard me. Get out! You are ruining this whole experience for me!
JERRY (sarcastically): Oh, look! There’s Gregory Peck’s bicycle!
GEORGE: Get out!
JERRY: And Barbara Mandrell’s skateboard!
GEORGE: Get out!! [Jerry gets out and George drives away. A couple of guys notice Jerry in his cowboy boots.]
TOUGH GUY (threatingly): Hey, cowboy. Where’s your horse? [Jerry slips and slides in his cowboy boots and runs away.] Yeah, you better run!
I appreciate your courage, Mr. Voight. God Bless you.
Jon Voight has balls. Perhaps he should be the head of the RNC.
Well, he is pretty far beyond the reach of the average players in Hollyweird.
Superb. Thanks for posting.
Although it’s nice to read an actor with a conservative bent once in a while, I want to know why he gets to have his piece in the Washington Times? I don’t like it when liberal celebrities get special treatment, and I don’t like it when conservatives do. Why is his opinion any more relevant than let’s say, MINE? Will the washington Post publish my opinion if I call them? I mean, who cares what John Voigt thinks, really? I know I am about to be flamed.
Who cares what Hollywood celebs say about politics?
Oh wait, he agrees with us? Right on!
/hypocrisy
Angelina got pissed at him during her Billy Bob years. Seems that him saying that he thought she had emotional problems set her off.
I seem to recall that she was wearing a vial of Billy Bob's blood as a necklace at the time so dad might have been close to spot on.
Amen, Amen.
You know it’s an epic episode when simply reading an excerpt of the script makes you laugh until you cry.
I also heard a Brad Pitt comment I absolutely loved, which I’ll paraphrase below. When asked why he never spoke out about politics and other important issues, he responded, “Why the hell would anybody care about what I think? I’m a grown man who puts on makeup.”
MM
He played the role of the late John Paul II in the movie about him.
I think he took the teaching of the Holy Father to heart.

I wanted to make an art piece of Barack Obama because I thought an iconic portrait of him could symbolize and amplify the importance of his mission. I believe Obama will guide this country to a future where everyone can thrive and I should support him vigorously for the sake of my two young daughters. I have made art opposing the Iraq war for several years, and making art of Obama, who opposed the war from the start, is like making art for peace. I know I have an audience of young art fans and Im delighted if I can encourage them to see the merits of Barack Obama.

See? It's all about "peace, love, togetherness" and "change".
Here are some of Fairey's other masterpieces. No joke. Most of his works are along these same lines. Check the link.

From a 'Thank you' letter Barack Obama sent to Shepard Fairey:
"Dear Shepard, I would like to thank you for using your talent in support of my campaign. The political messages involved in your work have encouraged Americans to believe they can help change the status quo. Your images have a profound effect on people, whether seen in a gallery or on a stop sign.'"

The paper is looking for some kind of a name draw “did you see the commentary BY...?”. Water cooler talk, talk radio talk, emails, etc...
It is unfortunate that the media lets some people have front of the line access to the soapbox even though their political views hold no more weight than “ordinary” Americans.
At least the views are being aired. And they don’t seem to be photocopied talking points.
Gen. Wesley Clark, who himself has shame upon him, having been relieved of his command, has done their bidding and become a lying fool in his need to demean a fellow soldier and a true hero.
Needs repeating often!

My Vote's for Obama (if I could vote) ...by Michael Moore
Friends,
I don't get to vote for President this primary season. I live in Michigan. The party leaders (both here and in D.C.) couldn't get their act together, and thus our votes will not be counted.
So, if you live in Pennsylvania, can you do me a favor? Will you please cast my vote -- and yours -- on Tuesday for Senator Barack Obama?

Michael Moore (quote), from his website, April 14, 2004...

"The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not 'insurgents' or 'terrorists' or 'The Enemy.' They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win. Get it, Mr. Bush?"
[actual quote from Michael Moore (2004). It still appears on his website]

The Communist Party USA (CPUSA):
"We are a party of unity in action. We are an integral part of every struggle and movement for change to eliminate poverty and joblessness, against racism and for full equality. We are participants, initiators and leaders of every movement to make life better now and much better in a socialist future." Yeah, so they supported an oppressive dictator, like the Repubs and Democrats haven't? The CP is still around, has apologized for that whole Stalin thing, and has a quickly growing youth section.

I agree. Liberals always escaped the responsibility of advocating surrender or defeat in Vietnam and the consequences of boat people, Pol Pot, and re-education camps.
Back in the early 90’s my husband and I went down to IU to see my son graduate.
One of the speakers there was Birch Bayh, Evan Bayhs dad. His speech was socialist in nature. My husband got up and walked out.
On our way home that day it really dawned on us what kind of indoctrination was happening.
My son is pretty much a lib. He is a young, successful guy working on his Doctorate, living in Boulder, traveling the world, talking about caribou and polar bears.
I love him to pieces and he is very good to me. You canot talk politics because he is always right. You know what I mean? LOL
I am in full agreement with you Mr. Voight. A fine editorial.
