Sen. Chuck Hagel, who accompanied Sen. Barack Obama on his trip to South Asia and Iraq last week, criticized the McCain campaign for its latest television ad attacking the Democratic candidate.
The ad blasts Obama for not visiting wounded troops during his visit to Germany. Obama has said he chose not to cancel a visit to a military hospital there after consultations with the Pentagon, due to concerns that such a visit might be seen as using wounded troops for political purposes.
The McCain ad, which contains footage of Obama bouncing a basketball before U.S. military personnel in Kuwait, implied that Obama was being disrespectful to troops by making "time to go to the gym" during his overseas trip while at the same time cancelling a visit with wounded troops.

Any Republican who supports Obama is not a Republican or a conservative AT ALL.
That means you, Chuck.

Obama has said he chose not to cancel a visit to a military hospital there If he chose "not to cancel", wouldn't that mean the meeting was a go? I guess news outlets like CBS don't even care about writing their spins clearly anymore.

It must be quite the blow to Hagel that the only person left that takes him somewhat seriously is an amateur like Obama.

I don't think that describes Hagel or McCain for that matter. They both were driven by their desires to be loved by the media and will do anything to please the media.
They lack core beliefs. McCain somehow found himself as the candidate for president and is forced to take some positions on issues. All of a sudden he is no longer the media darling and Hagel takes his place.
Hussein Obama is so wishy washy that it's to McCain's advantage to actually take a position. This is my opinion on what we have here.
To: Finalapproach29er
Of course he was defeated. Given the choice betweem a moderate RINO appeaser and a real socialist, the anti-american left will always choose the real deal.

So McCain should not “impugn motives” because “It’s just not responsible to be saying things like that, again, if for no other reason than for the good of this country and the world.”
Sounds like he’s saying character doesn’t matter. McCain should be pointing out obama motives and for the good of the country. But what is this world stuff?
To: tobyhill
Don't look now but bizarre leftism is about to take over our nation.
Hagel doesn't care that Obama chose not to visit wounded troops? These people are sick we are going to have a very ugly country.

"It's Alice in Wonderland," Sen. Chuck Hagel, second-ranking Republican on the Foreign Relations Committee, told me in describing the proposal [for a troupe surge]. "I'm absolutely opposed to sending any more troops to Iraq. It is folly."
Chuck Hagel on the Troop Surge.
"Quit talking about the troop surge. Get out of that. We're done with that. How are we going to project forward?" the Nebraska senator said. "What are we going to do for the next four years to protect the interest of America and our allies and restructure a new order in the world. ... That's what America needs to hear from these two candidates. And that's where I am."
Chuck Hagel after the Troop Surge
Anyone find anything humerous in the difference? No wonder this creep wants people to stop talking about the troop surge: it delivers him a truckload of crow to eat.

Sometimes I’m quite surprised some of these turds like Hagel, Schumer, Wexler don’t just get hell kicked out of them.
But Then again they are so very stupid I don’t think it would help. Just make them even more stupid.

I think McCain would be better off pointing out that rather than supporting the troops, Obambi argued to start bringing the troops home in 2007, so we’d essentially be out, after a stinging defeat, by now. That way Obambi couldn’t claim that somehow his timeline was right all along, as he was arguing for an immediate, fast-as-possible withdrawal all along!

Hagel makes McCain look like a radical right winger. Actually Hagel has a more conservative record than McCain, even including Iraq. He is a solid conservative, especially on social issues, which is why he cannot be the Dem VP nominee, rumors to the contrary notwithstanding. It is rather amusing that before McCain started calling for the surge Hagel was his buddy as much as Graham is now.

American Conservative Union Ratings
Chuck Hagel
- 2007: 79%
- 2006: 75%
- Lifetime: 84.67%
John McCain Juan McAmnesty
- 2007: 80%
- 2006: 65%
- Lifetime: 82.16%
Either the wrong guy is traveling with Obama or the wrong guy is the GOP candidate. Or maybe BOTH.
This is why I don't put much stock in the ACU ratings. They are misleading as heck. But that
65% for Juan sticks out like a sore thumb. He can't explain or bully that away.

The Arlington photograph is of a relative who killed in Afghanistan
Our “basketball” animated graphics were way ahead of any newsprint political cartoonist or RNC or John McCain campaign TV ads
The media and the left and the pansies say we should “forget” the 911 photographs and move on - To a Muzzie/NAZI Candidate

“CNN” Chuck Hagel always play the part of “good guy Republican” on CNN, MSDNC, CBS, NY Times.
Are we really supposed to believe that this Pro-Amnesty media groupie, who appears willing to support the Pro-abortion candidate in any way speaks for Conservatives? He’s just another tool for the MSM.
