I don’t understand why cops don’t take out a someone who’s trying to get away in a motor vehicle. To me it’s like someone spraying bullets in the air.

The headline clearly states that the U-Haul killed a teen, so the police were obligated to chase it down.

I watched this live on TV last week..
They showed this guy dangerously weaving in and out of traffic on a Los Angeles freeway during the morning rush hour. They had just robbed a house and the police were following, but had given up on the “high-speed” chase so as not to cause an accident.
However, a helicopter followed them. It was funny the guys exited the car. Note especially when the guy approaches a fence and a dog scares him! Then another dog chases him....
