I could swear there was a commercial late last night that Obama would be interviewed on “Face the Nation” today.
The local Fox channel had a preview of Chris Wallace
and just the look on his face made me change over to
the History Channel...I can’t take that guy any longer
Face the Nation has Treasury Secretary Paulson on. He’s a Republican.
It’s getting pretty bad. I turned on F&F this morning and they were talking about how Maliki supports the Obama plan for withdrawal.
This has been utterly debunked by the Maliki government, but it’s the story line our media wants, so they are ignoring the correction.
I have settled for a Brian Lamb interview from 1990.

I know a lot people here don’t like Tiger, but there is something missing in a major when he doesn’t play. I guess ABC figured that golf would still be more interesting than the latest political news.

He took offense to an announcer when he was asked about being AfricanhyphanAmerican.
He said that was offensive to his Asian mother, and he was an American. period.

I think people don’t dislike Tiger as much as they dislike the attitude of the liberals in sports media when it comes to Tiger.
Take Danica Patrick for example. I don’t have thing one against her, I have no problem with a woman racing. I just get tired of DSPN (Democrat Sports and Entertainment Network) constantly trying to promote her, while the men are actually winning, in the name of social policy.
I like Tiger - don’t care about golf, especially. I think it was Rush that commented that Tiger not playing was causing interest and ticket sales to fall.
There are no such things as accidents in politics. It essentially worked to kill the story quickly.

Even FNC headline on their web page debunks the Maliki story; so for the morning team to claim otherwise is just more evidence of the ignorance from them. FNC weekend is simply unwatchable.
I just turned into FNS, Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs is on. First question up is the “time horizon” story. Mullen says he can’t put a timeline on anything; horizons are fine because we all want our troops to come home, and that the discussions of the time horizon is indicative of the success.

I like golf, for the simple reason that you have to show up and perform well to get paid.
Baseball, basketball, football all have the multi million dollar, multi year deals that
still pay the player even if they don't meet up with their agreement to the team.
I guess its all in the eye of the viewer...
Mullen not doing such a great job, imho.
Wallace quotes the Speigel article, but adds the caveats that Maliki has denied the quote.
Mullen does say, withdrawal should be conditions based and not arbitraray; and setting a time table is dangerous. Chris asks why dangerous. Mullen says conditions based is the only way to go; the surge has been a success.
Setting a time table would cause worry about creating an instability that we don’t have now; Iraq is moving forward, time tables would move it backward.
Maybe Clayton is not the one I am thinking of, who is the one with black rimmed glasses?

Mullen does shoot down Chris’s statement “is it fair to say we are losing in Afghanistan”..with a big fat NO.
Media is having hissy fits that we are winning in Iraq and now will work hard to see if they can lose Afghanistan for us, since they were unsuccessful in their attempts to lose the Iraq war.
I though Chris was respectful to Mullen; I just didn’t think overall Mullen was that well spoken. Pace would have done a much better job, imho.
Wallace again repeats the Speigel and then says Maliki “is backing off it”, when Maliki said the Speigel misrepresented him.
Lieberman and Bayh on. LIeberman reminding Wallace that without the surge, we wouldn’t even be talking about withdrawal. Its come home on success and should be based on conditions.
Bahy is in the top of the running for VEEP; this is one of his coming out party. Bayh is very well spoken, but he is lieing through his teeth.

Bayh is claiming both Bush and McCain are now following Obama’s lead which proves he is the messiah (of course he didn’t really say messiah, but he is a big time kiss-up).
Yes, they have already begun. For instance, they reported the nine deaths in fighting in Afghanistan. They did not report the terrific fight that our guys put up and that the jerkoffs' goal to take over the outpost and kill everyone there failed. We're going to go back to the "there were x number of deaths. Let's get out" line of attack.
