I dont know. I always like Laura, but I found I couldnt listen to her show for more than an hour at a clip—and I couldn’t watch the TV show.
I agree with her postions a good 90% of the time, but sometimes when she doesn’t like a guest she attacks them and doesn’t give them an opportunity to answer. I always felt that the key word was “guest.” I would never invite someone into my “home” and treat them that way. Lord knows I have disagreed with “guests.” They are never treated poorly.
She used to show some class. Now she is another shrieking blonde.

(I am not from Vermont. I lived there for four years and that was enough.)

I always thought Laura was a much better writer than speaker.
She was too monotone!
It's the main reason I didn't like her radio show or her appearances on Fox.

What ever happened to Ken Hamblin? He was always a perfect gentleman.

I’m a long time listener and I agree 100%. Something has gone wrong. In fact, there is a level of hysteria on “right wing radio” the like of which I have never heard before. I’m still listening to Laura. She is still relatively rational about what’s going on and is likely truthful to a surprising extent, but I’ve stopped listening to Hannity and Rusty Humphries has really gone round the bend. I deal with enough paranoid people in my practice without listening to highly paid, no, overpaid, political shills in a panic over the reintroduction of the Fairness Doctrine and the derailing of their gravy trains.

Exactly. I would get embarrassed watching the show.

I like her radio show but it seems like they are always drifting into another commercial every few minutes. It’s maddening at times as the continuity gets destroyed.

I alternate between liking her and very much disliking her. Her radio show is always somewhat tough to listen to. It seems many times she sounds too downbeat. About a year or so ago she had Larry Kudlow on. She was so snotty towards Larry that he fairly slammed the phone down at the end of the interview. I know she’s had the breast cancer scare, so I’ll cut her some slack.

Afterwards, she was pretty profuse in her thanks that the guest stayed on the phone through the segment. No apology, but she seemed...nicer. Anyway, I agree. It's one thing to disagree with a guest and make points. Something else to talk over them and take what they have to say personally after inviting them on the show.

Good points. I found her quick wit entertaining, but I too didn't like her cutting off guests as much as she did. I think her thought process is too fast for that format sometimes. But I wouldn't call her shrieking, nor would I ever combine that adjective with auto-labeling the color of her hair, which happens to be blonde.
