Her story, that she wanted a temporary gig while in dispute with her syndicator, makes more sense.

I watched the 9 minute tape and it looked like her producers and assistants were totally incompetent. Handing her background folders with nothing in them, trying to write the teleprompter intro just minutes prior to show time, people that she needed not being anywhere in sight, etc. If that’s the kind of behind the scenes staff that Fox has they’re in for a rough spell ahead. I think Bill O’Reilly would have chopped their heads off.

Too bad Laura isn't w/ Clear Channel or maybe Rush would have her guest host sometimes.

Her show doesn't run on a Clear Channel station here in Houston.

I thought I read it only had a three week run to test the waters. John Gibson Show was good though, think he’s still on the radio.

Funny stuff.

She could be nicer to subordinates.

you kidding? this is tame. a long time ago, i was a cameraman. oh, sorry, cameraPERSON...

among others, i worked on an interview show for a local channel. but the talent was a nationally-known retired sports star who currently announces national major league baseball games. also, the interview show is still in production.

let me tell you, most of these people are pretty awful from what i have seen. i've seen beratings, cursings, thrown objects, and downright childish behavior from the "talent."

it is accepted and considered part of the game. i don't see stuff like this to be reason to cancel an entire show. but there could be more to the story.

She was aggravated but still polite for the most part. That one blond at the end was kinda hot looking. When she subs for O’Reilly, it looks like she’s got the makeup piled on. Her face is starting to look a bit female impersonatorish.

Ingraham is the latest in the list of news anchors to get pre-show footage leaked to Harry Shearer's MyDamnChannel.com.

I looked at the mydamnchannel.com page with the footage. The footage is not at all what I expected. I was puzzled until I noticed on the same page a link to huffington. The link says, "Harry's pick."

I watched the video. It is natural that a new show would have more glitches and a new host be vocal about them. That said, I have noticed Fox News has more problems with running the right video or pictures on request that the other networks.
I don’t know what the problem is but it is irritating on what is otherwise is the best cable news network.

I dunno, her frsutration seemed very restrained to me considering that her staff did not have their act together. I didn’t see any “ranting” and she certainly didn’t scream at or cuss anyone out.

Fox is lost. They really did not treat Laura fairly. It takes a lot of work to put on QUALITY television five hours a week. You need to have strong concepts from what you want to achieve on the show. Then you need to have the time to develop rapport with the staff. Laura and Fox were just gambling that maybe they could come up with something on the fly. Ideally, Fox would have given her a few months to come up with a successful formula and staff. That is what they did with Fox Business Channel and talk about a train wreck, they cannot come up with enough viewers for ratings agencies to give them a rating number.

If you want to see a host really blow his stack with the staff this is the gold standard in meltdowns. Hysterical.

I love Laura to death. Her courage fighting cancer, her positions, politics, sense of humor ... but her voice. Just a little to nasal and whiny sounding for my tastes. I could never listen to her for more than 15 at a time. But I still love her to death.

This explains what happened to Laura's show.

Maybe, but the article says that FNC insiders say this had nothing to do with that. I tend to believe them, as this behavior doesn't seem disproportionately over the top at all, at least to me. And, I agree with the poster who said the real problem should be finding the person who keeps leaking these tapes.

As an aside, I really wonder what the future holds for FNC, what with Brit Hume retiring and the likes of Laura Ingraham not able or willing to make a go on the network. Are we going to be left with nothing but Shep Smith, Ted Baxter, Geraldo and Greta, who will all share the same guest, Dick Morris, all the time?

FNC is getting increasingly unwatchable.

I can tell you that I would not have shown nearly as much restraint toward such an incompetent staff.

I like Laura’s radio show but her Fox show was painful. I particularly found the opening of each show where she tried to crack wise about the news of the day to be particularly painful to watch.

One of the worst things to endure is watching an unfunny person trying to be funny. Laura was funnier than the opening of that show, but not by much.

She should stick to her radio gig.

I imagine Laura would not have had as many differences with the staff at the Fox TV Show, if she could have run it with her staff from her radio show in the major/primary supporting roles.
