McCain may be far from perfect but I think Obama has even more serious problems, including being taken seriously with all his gaffes and policy summersaults. The only reason his support hasn’t completely collapsed is media bias and coverups.

All conservatives know Obama is a boob. This is why he isn't nearly as dangerous as MacCain, who many conservatives still stupidly believe is one of them. The enemy you don't see is always more dangerous than the enemy you do.

I have yet to see a renouncement from McCain on his shAmnesty proposal.

I have yet to see a clear and concise statement and plan of action on his Global Warming agenda.

I have yet to see his proposed economic plan.

I have yet to see or hear him make a complete, and final, statement on gay marriage.

BTW, has he ever had a civilian job, or has he always been on the Gov. payroll?

Had the GOP base unified behind a Romney...Obama would be in for a real fight.

Pundits like this one remind me of the physicians of old. They can spot symptoms and somewhat diagnose the disease, but they ignorantly use leeches to "cure" the patient, killing them slowly but surely instead.

I won’t be setting myself up for any kind of disappointment as I don’t plan on voting for McCain but my comment was to point out that it’s not a route as some currently claim. You present polls that show Obama winning handily at this juncture but there are other polls which basically show it’s a dead heat.

McCain seems to be attempting some kind of reverse strategery wherein he is now courting the base with some substantive changes on key issues after securing the nomination but frankly I’m not buying. If he loses the election (very likely) it’s because he told the conservative base early on to go to hell.
