Yeah, I saw that. ISA bought Fairfax Christian School, and that's where they have Kindergarten and 1st grade now. I had already transfered out of FCS, but I lived nearby. All ISA was at that campus on Popes Head Road, but then sometime later they bought the Alexandria campus as well...
I can’t now remember the exact details, but I DO remember Mr. Thornburg (?) got raked over the coals by the powers-that-be in Fairfax when he was opening that Christian school .... nothing like their deferential treatment of ISA. Who’d bet the Saudi’s not only paid big bux for the Popes Head Road property, but pays well above the going rate to use the old Mt. Vernon HS. (apparently that’s leased annually, subject to county approval).
I am so disgusted with Fairfax County these days and now it looks like Connolly will replace Tom Davis who got at least mixed reviews.
