Schwarzenegger: I'd Serve Under Obama

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger says he'd say yes if Barack Obama is elected president and offers him a position in his administration.

"I'm always ready to help in any way I can the United States," Schwarzenegger said Sunday on ABC's "This Week." "Because as you know, I've committed myself to be a public servant, because this country has given me everything. And so this is my time now."

Schwarzenegger has endorsed fellow Republican John McCain for president, but he said he'd "take [Obama's] call now and I'd take his call when he's president, anytime. Remember, no matter who is president, I don’t see this as a political thing. I see this as we always have to help, no matter what the administration is.”

Schwarzenegger has been mentioned as a possible energy and environmental adviser to Obama. Obama has applauded Schwarzenegger’s work on climate change and has raised his name in discussions of possible Cabinet officers.

If it will get him out of the Governor’s Mansion, then Obama can have him.

Well, let’s make sure that he doesn’t serve under Obama in the White House!! First goal (if you’re CA) is get him out of your hair but don’t push him “up the ladder” to prey on the rest of us!

I have no issue with this. What’s he supposed to say? “No, I won’t serve the country if the Democrat is President because I will be hoping for failure.”

“What’s he supposed to say?”

Something to the effect...”When John McCain is elected POTUS, I will be honored to serve him, my party & most importantly my country in any way I can.”

But then RINOld would have to be an ethical, principled CONSERVATIVE to say something like that.

Obama has applauded Schwarzenegger’s work on climate change and has raised his name in discussions of possible Cabinet officers.

Doesn't dumbass know that because of presidential succession, Schwarzenegger doesn't qualify for a cabinet position?

Wow, this statement can almost fool one into thinking ol' Ahnold isn't an idiot.

Everybody take a good long look at CA because that's how the rest of the nation is going to go under either one of our "fantastic" (Ahnold fav expression) presendential candidates. UGH!

That’s not correct; remember Henry Kissinger, a naturalized citizen from Germany, served as Secretary of State.

Anyhow, Schwarzenegger would fit right in in a Hussein administration.

Sure you would, Ahnuld, you’re married to the Kennedy family.

Hopefully, he won’t get the chance.

"I'm always ready to help in any way I can the United States,"

Then he should go back to his previous profession.
