I’ve been watching news of Tony all morning and the tears keep starting and stopping and starting again.

What a wonderful man he truly was....A lot of folks truly loved Tony...I did! The good die too young and its heartbreaking.

My initial reaction was disbelief and true sadness. I TRUSTED Mr.Snow when he reported and responded to news. I am now thankful that his pain and suffering are over and he is with our Lord to share eternity in peace and true love. I will pray for his soul.

Yes, he handled the press superbly.

Much of modern medical research is starting to focus on the importance of stress as a contributory factor in heart disease, cancer, etc. So one can't help but wonder if his time as WH press secretary had an impact.

I do hope that President and Mrs. Bush attend the service.

Mware, I remember your and other Snowflakes’ excitement about the visit with Tony at that CPAC conference. Just another example of what a great and down to earth guy he was. When you think of the level of succcess/celebrity Tony achieved, especially in this town, it is all the more amazing he kept his feet firmly planted on the ground, and never lost his sense of priorities. Boy, am I sad.

What a shock ... particularly because he was so young. In his short tenure as Press Secretary, he established himself as one of the very best ever. He was most effective at explaining policy and parrying ridiculous questions from the left-wing press.

I couldn’t agree more about Schwarzeneger’s attitude. Wonderful! Faith is everything, friends, through good or ill...

Thanks so much for your kind thoughts regarding my latest unpleasantness. As often happens, reports of my imminent demise are greatly exaggerated. I’ve been fighting a bowel obstruction for the last month, and won’t travel until we get it fixed. Hence, the speech cancellations.

We’ve embarked on a pretty aggressive course of treatment, and I’m on the mend. As for cancer, all the signs are good: Treatments are working, and genetic tests indicate that a new course of treatment has a good chance of real success.

So thanks, as always, for the thoughts and prayers — and continue sharing them with each other for others in need (like Jim Rob). I can’t tell you what a source of strength and reassurance you are.
