Ooops...

Guess maybe the LDS should have at least kept the FLDS on the mailing list...

The LDS church with HQ in SLC is the apostate church that Joseph Smith warned of. The fundamentalists are actually practicing what Joseph Smith and Brigham Young taught.

They are the ones sticking by Smith’s original teachings. They didn’t change their views on plural marriage or blacks when it became politically convenient to do so.

Flame Suit On

Mormons reserve the right to define the term "Christian" to include themselves, but deny FLDS members the right to define the term "Mormon" to include themselves.

Ironic?

Plural marriage is only one of the tenets of our religion, the Gospel of Jesus Christ as restored through Joseph Smith.... The LDS Church has asked that media refer to those who follow the original beliefs set down by Joseph Smith as "polygamous sects," the group said, but "most of us are not (and do not refer to ourselves as) polygamists.

OK then, I guess it should be "plural marrige sects" instead of "polygamous sects". Big whoop!

I for one think this is really neat, that these folks want to become real Mormons. All they have to do is do what I did - listen to the LDS Missionary discussions, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost, and get on board this good old Gospel ship. If they want to become Mormons, it’s quite easy and they will be welcomed with open arms.

Come on in, the water’s fine!

There is a lot of information on this thread.

Some true, some false.

Even of the true information, there is much of it presented in a way to make the conclusions false.

Well, well, well. We have been told for quite a while that it is heinous bigotry to exclude Mormons from the Christian faith on the basis of doctrine a whole lot more divisive than Just polygamy.

But now we are to let the LDS tell Fundamentalist Mormons - they aren’t Mormon! The irony is too rich.

I will await the cries of Bigot, and a host of other foul invective, from the usual suspects against the LDS for imposing a doctrinal dividing wall of their own.
