Armed men have opened fire from a vehicle outside the U.S. consulate in Istanbul killing four people, according to CNN-Turk.
CNN-Turk initially reported that at least three of the attackers were killed and one police officer later died from his injuries in a hospital.

At least three policemen have been killed in an attack near the US consulate in the Turkish city of Istanbul, state media have said.
Television footage appeared to show four dead bodies on the ground in front of the high-walled complex in the city.
CNN Turk said armed assailants had opened fire from a vehicle at the officers, who were stationed outside.
The US embassy in Ankara told the Reuters news agency it was aware of an incident, but gave no further details.
NTV reported that some bystanders who had been waiting for US visas were also injured in the attack.

Yes, that’s the latest. Initial report was 2 good-guys, 2 bad-guys. Then it became 1 good-guy, 3 bad-guys. Now 3 of each, plus a 4th perp (the driver) apparently escaped with the car and there was an aggressive hunt for him.
Overall, seemed a pretty amateur attempt - the old “bring a knife to a gun-fight” strategy! These idiots didn’t even get past the local police guard-shack! Doesn’t look like the Marine guards even got an opportunity to engage.

What it is really is 6 perps dead.
The whole parastate of Turkey is a terror state. For Turkish authority to call it an “act of terorism” is a sick joke since they themselves are all terrorists.
