You advocating that they stay in the FOBs and periodically get mortared or what? Once the Iraqis are in control of their country, then we go into a training and backup role. That is what is happening now, in fact, in many places in Iraq. The proposal that the Iraqis are making is that we get further into the background so they don't have a political problem with people calling them a puppet regime. I can understand that. It is all based on security, which was the premise McCain and Bush has been making all along.
