"Does he want my vote?"

You must speak the language of McCain 08'

example:
"¿él quiere mi voto?"

Si

Like most Conservatives, I’m ticked off at McCain for this immigration thing and I’m especially ticked off that he spoke before a racist organization such as LULAC.

But...McCain is not going to win the election without at least 40 percent of the Hispanic vote (that’s what Bush got in 2004 and he barely made it across the finish line first). And, IMO, McCain beating Obama the Marxist trumps McCain pandering to the Hispanics.

So on further reflection, I say to McCain, “Go ahead Johnny, tell those leftist Hispos what they want to hear. But when you become President, you best act like, and be, a Conservative.

McCain beating Obama the Marxist trumps McCain pandering to the Hispanics.

Will you be saying this when, if McCain wins the election, he pushes through an amnesty creating 20+ million new, poor, uneducated, government dependent Democrat voters making it unlikely that Republicans would ever win another national election?

“I and many other colleagues twice attempted to pass comprehensive immigration legislation to fix our broken borders, ensure respect for the laws of this country; recognize the important economic necessity of immigrant laborers, apprehend those who came here illegally to commit crimes, and deal practically and humanely with those who came here, as my distant ancestors did, to build a better, safer life for their families,” Mr. McCain said, “without excusing the fact they came here illegally or granting them privileges before those who have been waiting their turn outside the country.”

He added: “Many Americans, with good cause, didn’t believe us when we said we would secure our borders, and so we failed in our efforts. We must prove to them that we can and will secure our borders first, while respecting the dignity and rights of citizens and legal residents of the United States of America. But we must not make the mistake of thinking that our responsibility to meet this challenge will end with that accomplishment. We have economic and humanitarian responsibilities as well, and they require no less dedication from us in meeting them.”

Since it's relatively easy to dig up the genealogical information pertaining to anyone who's ever run for President, I'd like to correct McCain on an important topic.

When McCain's ancestors came to America it wasn't all that great a place to be. In fact, most of them were probably tossed off a British boat wearing chains and told to swim for it.

If they made it to shore, they had to fend for themselves in every respect.

Still, they were lucky. If they'd been put ashore in Mexico the Spanish colonial authorities would have identified them as Protestants, held a brief trial, and lopped off their heads.

It's insulting to equate your own Scots, Irish and Scandinavian ancestors with the Mexicans. Beyond insulting ~ it's a blood libel!

And what will you overlook next? First Amendment? McCain has already assaulted it and continues to advocate outlawing 527s.

A little here, a little there. Chip chip chipping away.

[McCain can't win without 90-95% of the Republican vote, and currently he is only getting about 80%. That other 20% are mostly conservatives. So, McCain strains himself to reach across the aisle to Hillary voters instead. He and the RNC think the conservatives will vote for him in November -- because they don't have anywere else to go. They thought that in 06, and look at that slaughter. They may find 08 even worse. It might just be a good day to go fishing.]

Look, I am no McCainiac at all.

I cannot stand ILLEGAL ALIENS and their anchor babies at all.

But the specter of Obama, Farrakhan and Wright controlling my taxpayer dollars makes me want to vomit.

Israel will be defended by McCain while Obama stands idly by and watches the destruction unfold.

Obama is a skull cruncher on the issue of abortion, but McCain is pro-life.

We can fight McCain's push for amnesty through our phone calls, protests, petitions and letters, but Obama's policies will destroy the economy, threaten our National Security, dismantle the military, reduce our nuclear defenses, initiate 10 dollar gas prices and essentially annihilate any hopes for a prosperous future for our Republic.

Do you really want Louis Farrakhan and Jeremiah Wright influencing the way our taxpayer dollars are spent?

Do you want to lose the war against the terrorists?

Do you want 10 dollar gas because Obama refuses to search for new sources of energy?

Stand idly by in November, and you will be making it all happen.

...twice attempted to pass comprehensive immigration legislation

That means he tried to pass amnesty twice. Amnesty will destroy this country with a stroke of a pen.

ensure respect for the laws of this country

Why aren't the current immigration laws being enforced?

Mr. McCain said, “without excusing the fact they came here illegally or granting them privileges before those who have been waiting their turn outside the country.”

Being allowed to stay and work here is rewarding law breakers. If they want to enter this country legally, they must do so like everyone else, i.e., go home and take their chances with the entry process. Many of them couldn't qualify to enter here on a tourist visa, let alone an immigrant visa.

But we must not make the mistake of thinking that our responsibility to meet this challenge will end with that accomplishment. We have economic and humanitarian responsibilities as well, and they require no less dedication from us in meeting them.”

Translation: We will reward the lawbreakers with amnesty and allow them to stay and to sponsor tens of millions more legal immigrants thru chain migration, i.e., family reunification.

McCain talks a lot about securing the border, but 40% of the illegals are visa overstays, i.e., they came here legally. He rarely mentions cracking down on employers as part of border security. Attrition thru enforcement is the solution.

As much as I hate to agree, McCain is the lesser of two evils. Obama's evilness is complete - there is absolutely no grounds on which I agree with him and I believe with my whole heart that he will destroy our country with his socialism and fanatical extremism.

While I don't agree with much of what McCain espouses (including his stance on immigration), there are some things (reducing spending, pro-life, at least some drilling, Iraq, pro-military) which I do agree with. Couple that with a better chance at constructionist judges and voting for the RINO makes infinitely more sense than voting for the most liberal senator.

I will however answer your question. You won’t like it, but here it is.

“You want ten dollar gas?”

We have the gas prices we have because of DEMAND. Know where the demand is coming from? CHINA

Who just loves this mess and MFN with CHINA? McCain. And McCain won’t drill in the Gulf, but he’ll let every other country. And he insists Anwar is ‘pristine’...remember?

You’d be happy with $10 gas if it’s under McCain, wouldn’t ya?

Now, answer my FIRST question...who did you support in the Primary?

China is becoming the biggest consumer of gasoline and the biggest emitter of CO2.
Know why? It’s not because their slave labor is driving automobiles. It’s to fuel their factory sweat shops, buy nice cars for their communist bosses, because we keep buying their cheap imports. So how much is that dollar figurine you didn’t need in the first place really costing you? The next time you fill up, on your way home from Wal Mart, etc., don’t bitch at the gas station attendant. Look in the mirror.

Mar. 2007 - China - The country’s use of gasoline reached 52.47 million tonnes last year, an 8.4% year-on-year growth, after the year’s car sales jumped 27% to hit 7.2 million. The forecast for this year’s growth is 18%.........

I don't know how to be more clear, so I am going to sum it all up like this:

I don't want to lose the war against the terrorists by retreating too soon from Iraq and Afghanistan.

I don't want to see baby skulls get crushed underneath Obama's jackbooted abortion policies.

I don't want to see 10 dollar gas because Obama refuses to drill, build refineries, use clean-burn coal technology or build nuclear power plants.

I don't want black racists determining how my taxpayer dollars are spent.

I don't want to see Israel go unsupported during their darkest hour.

I don't want to see our military budget get thrown back into the Carter era.

I don't want to see a dramatic increase in my taxes to support widespread socialism.

I don't want to see a President Obama because all of these horrible things will happen if he wins.

These reasons (and many more) are why I am pulling the lever for McCain.

I am by no means pleased with illegal aliens and anchor babies, but I am going to petition, sign, email, call and protest any decision for amnesty if that's what it takes to stomp it flat.

I care too much about America to let Obama destroy it all.

One of the interesting things that is becoming more and more evident about this campaign is that it is quite clear as to what the candidates believe and from that it is not too difficult to get a good idea of the general direction each will take in his actions once he becomes president. Obama is trying to cloud things with his transparent and amazingly clumsy move to the right on several issues but he isn’t really fooling anyone who reads these threads or has followed his campaign for the past 6 months or so. McCain too has made noises that seem to contradict what he has said in the past - though to nowhere near the extent that B. Hussain Obama has.

So we all have a pretty clear idea of what these guys believe and how they are likely to act.

From this it should not be too difficult to make a decision about which to vote for. It is rather unlikely that either will not be nominated at their respective conventions. And it is virtually inconceivable that any other candidate has a prayer of pulling off an upset.

So. These are the two we have. There ain’t no one else to pick that will make it better. For me the choice between the two is the most dismal in my lifetime (and I remember Eisenhower clearly). But it is the only realistic one we have.

I cannot vote for Obama. That would be a betrayel of the nation. I cannot sit idly by and let Obama win. That is only slightly less of a betrayel. So my choice is clear - though distasteful.
