To the surprise of absolutely nobody, Barack Obama launched several attacks on achievement yesterday, slamming John McCain's tax proposals.
Obama absolutely cannot stand the idea of successful people being allowed to keep more of the money they earn. After all, as Obama would tell you, those people don't actually need that money, so it is perfectly OK for the government to seize that excess cash and use it for various vote-buying schemes.
Obama likes to say that nobody earning less than $250,000 a year would have their taxes increased under his plan. Well, isn't that special.
I know that many of you really don't give a damn about those wicked people earning more than $250,000 a year.
They're rich, to hell with them.
Take their money and spend it on you, right?
After all, they were just lucky, or they got that money by relying on their crooked lawyers and cheating ordinary working American. Oh, I can hear the moans in the Democrat coffee klatches now.
How about a dose of reality?
And trust me, reality isn't friendly to either The Messiah* or his supporters.
Unless you work for a very large corporation (or the government), and that would cover about 20 percent of you, and if you do, in fact, work ... then you probably work for one of these evil rich people.
Think about it ... do you think that someone who runs a business with less than $250,000 in income is going to be out there hiring people?
There are 23 million small business owners in America who file their business income taxes as an individual taxpayer.
These small business owners employ people ... tens of millions of people. In fact, the small business owners of this country provide way more than 70% of the private sector jobs out there. When Obama talks about raising taxes on people who make more than $250,000 a year he's talking about raising taxes on the man or woman who writes your paycheck.
Now ... would you care to spend a few of your precious minutes thinking about the logical consequences of raising taxes on your employer?
Do you think they're just going to cut back on the money they take from their business operation?
Oh yeah, sure they will.
Now I know that you're government educated, but surely you can see that these people are going to adjust to their increased tax load by cutting back on business expenses. You don't expect them to cut their own pay, do you?
Hey! It's their business! They started this thing, and they don't intend to see the lives they've built for themselves be diminished by some Democrats tax dreams so expenses get cut.
Now --- guess what you are?
There, that wasn't so hard, was it? You, my friend, are a business expense. Are you going to be the business expense that gets cut? Perhaps so ... and then what happens?
The evil rich have now they have taken away YOUR job, and you hate them even more. Hint: It wasn't your job, it was theirs.. when it became a financial burden, they dumped it.
Any way you look at it, a winning formula for the Democrats --- a winning formula until, that is, American voters start to smarten up.

*It has been brought to my attention that I'm not the only talk radio God out there referring to Barack Obama as "The Messiah."

Well, flattery is the best compliment. What other name would we give him when newspapers and magazines keep printing those pictures of Obama with a halo?
“I know that many of you really don’t give a damn about those wicked people earning more than $250,000 a year.”
99.9% of them are white, or more accurately, not black, and that is all the racist Obama Administration needs to know.
Boortz's column was written to people who actually work, and probably know this already, but a good chunk of Obama's constituency don't work at all.
They get their cut from Uncle Sam and they think Obama will give them a bigger cut. I would warn them that an Obama government would have a voracious appetite for cash, so they may not get the riches they think they will. But they wouldn't understand or believe me so I won't waste my breath or time.
When I drive to my home from downtown I have to drive through some of the crappiest neighborhoods in the city. The places where most people don't own where they live and treat it accordingly. Trash everywhere, able bodied men hanging out on the corner instead of doing something, anything constructive. And in the middle of all that, Obama sign after sign in trashed out front yards.
...as if I really needed another reason not to vote for that piece of $hit.
This is a bald faced lie because he has promised to raise capital gains taxes from 15% to 28% immediately and more later. This will impact retirees, home owners, small businesses, and anyone who invests in stock through mutual funds.
But I forgot, it is acceptable to lie in pursuit of a "good" cause. From each according to their ability, to each according to their need.
Democrats always run (and win as here in Ohio) on ‘jobs, jobs, jobs’. However, with their punishing taxes, regulations, and promises of such things as carbon taxes or cap and trade (I know so does McCain, but that shows where he is) the business are being destroyed. The only course we have is to increase productivity to overcome increased input costs. That doesn’t mean MORE jobs.
No thanks...keep the change!!!!
For 8 years the milquetoast champion George Bush has allowed the media and the rest of the left ot attack him unmercifully without response. The harm this limp-spined, unthinking approach has caused the rep party and the nation itself will be felt for years. Just now, it means that the democrat should win this years pres. sweepstakes in a walk. But that is not happening. Barry Hussein is such a weak candidate that even the far weaker Juan McCain is keeping pace. Had the republican party been smart enough to field an actual conservative nominee, one who would right now be running a smart, effective campaign, unafraid of the “you’re a racist if you criticize me” nonsense, he would be the next president with a 40 state victory. What a tragedy that the weakness of Bush and the arrogant stupidity of McCain will comdemn the US and the American people to a Marxist in the White House.
Obama would eliminate the Bush tax cuts and institute higher taxes on most working Americans. Raising the top rates from the current 35% to something in the neighborhood of 52%. Not to mention raising the cap-gains tax rates and taxes on dividends. That windfall profits tax is in the cards too. Along with higher federal gas taxes to slash consumption. Looks like $8.00 per gallon gas is just around the corner.
Its been 20 years since Reagan lowered the top tax rates from 50% to 28%. What's next? A return to 70% or even 90% rates?
Achievers aren’t going to vote for him. Non-achievers are. Because he plans to take money from achievers and give it to non-achievers.
Apropos of nothing... I remember reading that after Truman was elected to congress via his recruitment by a corrupt political machine, he turned on the political boss.
OK....let’s start with taxing professional football and basketball players at 99%! After all, they are payed enormous amounts at the expense of the “little people” in the stands. Then let’s tax the actors and actresses at 98%. .......Yea, that’s the ticket! These people make WAY too much money. It’s just not fair!
Obama is an abject marxist. His positions and his willful associations of long standing attest to it.
So very true. And why so many are fooled into thinking he has the plan we need or failing to see the Marxism still baffles me.
Boortz hits it again. I guess we can't have achievers messing up the marxist way of good little worker bees who do what they're told. Sigh. Will American voters 'smarten up'?
The official banner of the Democrat Party should be the Jolly Roger.
Wasn’t it Boortz who said: “How can the democrats love jobs but hate the people that create them?”
