Prayer refusal pupils 'disciplined'

An education authority is investigating claims that two school pupils were punished for refusing to kneel down and pray to Allah during a religious education lesson. Parents complained after the boys, Year 7 pupils at Alsager High School in Cheshire, were given detention for being "disrespectful" to the prophet, the Congleton Chronicle reported. Parent Sharon Luinen told the paper: "This isn't right, it's taking things too far. "I understand that they have to learn about other religions, I can live with that, but it is taking it a step too far to be punished because they wouldn't join in Muslim prayer. Making them pray to Allah, who isn't who they worship, is wrong and what got me is that they were told they were being disrespectful." The school is believed to have received complaints from five sets of parents since the alleged incident on Tuesday. Another parent, Karen Williams, said: "I am absolutely furious my daughter was made to take part in it and I don't find it acceptable. I haven't got a problem with them teaching my child other religions and a small amount of information doesn't do any harm. "But not only did they have to pray, the teacher had gone into the class and made them watch a short film and then said 'We are now going out to pray to Allah'. And then two boys got detention and all the other children missed their refreshments break because of the teacher." She added: "My child has been forced to pray to Allah in a school lesson." The incident is believed to have taken place during a practical demonstration of how Allah is worshipped. Cheshire County Council confirmed that parents had complained about the lesson, and said the circumstances of the incident were to be "thoroughly" looked into.

From “ The Sun never sets on the British Empire” to “The Sun has set on the British Empire” … sad times we live in. ;-(

Were it I, disrespectful to more than the so called Prophet I would be.

Were it one of my children being singled out for standing up for themselves, the tongue lashing of a sailor the school miscreants would get; then my words would really get foul.

yes, they are just about a totally indoctrinated nation when it comes to Islam. How can you be “disrespectful” to the “prophet” if you don’t believe in the SOB in the first place. I wish I had an opportunity to be disrespectful to the Ba***** I would do what ever it took to show my contempt.

I’ve been ‘disciplined’ more times than I can count. I just took it on the jaw, whether is was deserved (often), or undeserved (less often - sometimes you just get screwed).

I’m not one of those weaklings who goes around worrying what’s in my ‘permanent record.’ Just spell my name right, Jack! ;-)

I think the Brits could benefit immensely from your attitude. Where are the soccer hooligans when you need them?

On a more serious note, crap like this makes evil clowns like the BNP look more attractive to frustrated, fearful voters, who might just figure “any port in a storm.”

And so it begins.

I wouldn't be surprised to read a story like this in an American in the not too far future.

Like Britain in general, to busy worrying about games (like Rome in its waning days) and not focusing on any real life issues … they have an enemy within and don’t realize it.

They were able to withstand the Nazis, an enemy without, but are not able to recognize and fight an enemy within … very sad.

I would hope we in the US would take notes, however, I doubt it.

Never ceases to amaze me how a few thousand fanatics can hold 6 + billion people in fear. And I say “ a few thousand”, because these zealots are inciting the rest of Islam. Without these zealots, Islam would be something the average American wouldn’t even know about. IMHO.

It’s been happening in schools here for a long time now, just doesn’t make national news. A public school in Dallas a few weeks ago, where the kids were spontaneously required to watch a “film” on Islam and learn about it - their parents were incensed. If you want to read about the incidents of this here all the time, go to Brigitte Gabriel’s website, American Congress for Truth, and get on their daily email update list. I just can’t recommend this lady or her organization/website enough for a REAL eye-opening education on what’s happening here and now in the U.S. relating to radical Islam.

you should look up and read about what actress Brigitte Bardot’s been through in her home country of France for repeatedly speaking out/protesting about the Islamization of THAT country - she’s been arrested several times!!!

I am well aware of her willingness to sacrifice her personal freedom as an advocate of free speech. But, what, exactly does that have to do with my post?

try this on - it’s MORE than “a few thousand” once you research and learn. at latest published estimates of 1.8+ billion muslims in the world (former U.S. attorney Andrew McCarthy and intelligence expert says even more), those who are WELL-versed in both intel and Radical Islam (of whom I can give you many names to check out) say anywhere from 10-20% are those “zealots” you mention, militant, radical jihadists who are on a mission from Allah to eliminate all Infidels as directed by Mohammed’s teachings in the qu’ran after he relocated to Medina from Mecca.

You do the numbers - around 180 million-360 million Mohammed Attas. 9/11 only took 19.

Damn political correctness - WAKE UP, AMERICA.

Respectually, it has everything to do with this subject and your post. I really urge you to check out her site and also her first-hand knowledge (respected and consulted by governments, world leaders, the military and so many who hear her speeches) of the truth about radical Islam - her book Because They Hate. She’s MUCH more than an “advocate of free speech” - in fact, she outlines in factual detail how cultural jihad is using our liberties and tolerance against us every day.

I don’t care what your numbers say … I still believe that if these fanatics (1% or less) were decrease in number, Islam would bury itself back into the neverland that they came from before 9/11 happened.

Those pusified bastards are probably too busy practicing praying with their a$$es in the air, or keening under their beds in sh#t-scared fear of the muslims.

Oh, the’re real tough when they strike a cripple in a wheelchair...provided, of course that the cripple isn’t a muslim.

Parents of Christian children, who choose to leave them in public education, need to prepare now for the eventuality of this happening in their children's schools, if it has not happened already. And I guess you are right that it is already happening in some American schools.

Parents need to sit down and write out their course(s) of action to deal with such things. Further, they need to prepare their positions in writing and send the document to school teachers, principles and school boards. Don't just wait for it to happen. Write and speak about what you are likely to do if it occurs where your children go to school. We need some “activism” before the fact. We need some preempting; some preventative measures. Don't allow Islam or other cults get these kinds of strongholds.

American parents need to take these articles, print them, for their state and local authorities to read, and then state clearly that they will not tolerate such happening where their children go to school.

But I fear that American parents, in general, will not take either preventative or countermeasures, and therefore, the USA will soon go the way of the UK.

I would file such a flury of lawsuits it would make their heads spin, if I were either of these kids parents. Simply incredible. To recite the shahada is to become a Muslim, especially in the eyes of Muslims.

Well, if wishes were horses....problem is, not only are they NOT decreasing, they’re multiplying like rabbits - again, another directive of the qu’ran, to “populate” the world with believers.

the words “if, coulda, woulda, shoulda” no longer apply - tragically.

yes, you’re very right that parents need to be pro-active now, AND they need to begin talking with other parents, networking and even organizing. Of course, that would mean that they become informed about the realities of what they and their children face, the increasing threat it represents, as soon as possible and make it major priority.

Juan McCain won’t.

And what say you about b. hussein obama? Because one of them WILL be in charge of this country and our path against a force whose sole mission is to destroy us, both figuratively and literally.

Like it or not, that’s the way it is.
