Several Prince George's County {MD} correctional officers who had access to a 19-year-old inmate found strangled in solitary confinement Sunday have initially declined to speak to investigators of the slaying, a source familiar with the interrogations said.
The Maryland State Police and federal agents were investigating the death of Ronnie L. White, who was killed less than 36 hours after he was booked into the county correctional center on first-degree murder charges in the hit-and-run death Friday of county police Cpl. Richard S. Findley.....

Anything they say can and will incriminate them.
I am sure they have been ordered to not talk. Nevertheless, who ever was evolved better get an attorney. Well that is if they do not want to spend the rest of their life in Prison.
If they are smart they all will get an attorney before saying anything. Unfortunately, that’s a necessity these days.
“pre·med·i·tat·ed (pr-md-ttd)
adj.
Characterized by deliberate purpose, previous consideration, and some degree of planning: a premeditated crime.”
It seems a stretch that a hit and run would be deemed premeditated murder. Oh, that’s right, cop was killed...
I was on a jury once where the defendant (a real slime ball in this case) was charged with attempted murder, when during a car chase he swerved toward a police car. The fine print (that came out during the trial) was that he did so after the police shined a 2000000 candle power spotlight in his eyes.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
The PG County Police reputation is disgusting.
Several years ago a female officer in the Canine Dept. was dismissed for sigging her German Shepherd on handcuffed, arrested prisoners.
She would laugh with the rest of the officers on the scene as the dog was allowed to bite legs and arms.
Pigs.......
The prison guard union will protect these guys better than any attorney.
Maryland democrats LOOOOVE those unions- now they get to deal with the results!
I can’t imagine too many stepping forward and yelling
“HEY, IT WAS ME!!”
The police dept exacts its own Charles Bronson (Death Wish)type of justice.
Jailers know better than than most what happens to people who talk to investigators, that’s how most of their ‘clients’ got to be that way.
Of course, many of them did actually do the crime they were convicted of, but you can be innocent and still talk yourself into jail. Best to say nothing.
