Markos “Screw Them” Moulitsas will be withholding his money from Barack Obama until Obama toes the progressive line: Daily Kos: Rewarding good behavior.
Maybe what looks like cowering to me is really part of that “moving to the center” stuff everyone keeps talking about. But there is a line between “moving to the center” and stabbing your allies in the back out of fear of being criticized. And, of late, he’s been doing a lot of unecessary stabbing, betraying his claims of being a new kind of politician. Not that I ever bought it, but Obama is now clearly not looking much different than every other Democratic politician who has ever turned his or her back on the base in order to prove centrist bona fides. That’s not an indictment, just an observation.
Now I know there’s a contingent around here that things Obama can do no wrong, and he must never be criticized, and if you do, well f*ck you! I respect the sentiment, but will respectfully disagree.
Because nothing says “respect” like a hearty “f*ck you!”

I don’t know what the KOS idiots expected. They surely have enough political smarts to know the old drill. Run to the left (or right) in the primaries, run to the middle in the general election.
Obama is actually making a smart political move by distancing himself from the Kos-Moveon.org types.
He will gain two votes for every one he loses.

I don’t think Obama is left or right. I think he’s off the reservation..... too radical to be considered political. He just says whatever he needs to say in order to get elected. He panders to the left when he needs them, then moves to the center to win in Nov.

Just like frogs in a slow boiling pot, think about all their small but desperately needed $1-$500 or so donations, that may have been incrimentally donated when asked to give repeatedly to get Obamassiah THIS far, all the on-the-ground labor and free man-hours they have invested to hand him the nomination.
If it weren't for THEM, Hillary would have been the dem 2008 POTUS candidate. It's JUST NOW starting to "come home to roost" to the "young ones", that they were really all the time only considered as nothing more than, (in very applicable Marxist terms,) "Useful Idiots", and not his REAL base after all, as the Obamassiah 2008 campaign bus crunches them BACK into reality as it slowly but unwaveringly steers itself to the center of the campaign road to finish it's quest for the 2008 POTUS attempt.
