The director of the FBI is not happy with the Supreme Court's recent handgun ruling.
Robert Mueller says he tends to believe that "weapons harm people, and more often than not they harm the people carrying them."
Mueller said the high court's decision, which threw out a handgun ban in Washington, D.C., "does throw a lot of things up in the air."
Mueller said communities will now have to decide their own licensing programs.
Mueller was speaking at a convention of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators in Hartford, Connecticut.
He says with his grandchildren going to college, he hopes "those campuses will be weapons-free."

So much for a former Marine, he needs to resign from the FBI.

There are a lot of large cities that don’t have handgun bans, and those cities don’t have any greater problems than DC or Chicago or NYC. For example, Houston and Dallas don’t have handgun bans.

So FBI agents can be trusted to have firearms, but the average American is just too stupid to possess a gun. How condescending.

Sometimes career law enforcement types get the "Us vs Them" bunker mentality and NOBODY but them can be trusted with firearms.
Or maybe Director Mueller is just a politician who has forgotten what it's like to be a regular person trying to survive without a security detail.

Robert Mueller says he tends to believe that "weapons harm people, and more often than not they harm the people carrying them." As evidenced by the high rate of military and police forces shooting themselves?
Ok... There was the Lubbock "Circular Firing Squad" the SWAT team there pulled, but I'm ok with only allowing law enforcement tightly regulated access to firearms.
Everyone else in the civilian population is MUCH more capable of carrying arms for their own defense and requires no such regulations.

He says with his grandchildren going to college, he hopes "those campuses will be weapons-free."In an ideal world there would never be weapons on a campus. As we saw from Va. Tech, when a loon wants to bring a gun on campus they don't check to see if the rules allow them.

Exactly right. Moller, hand in your resignation.
You are sworn to defend the Constitution of the United States. Now hit the road.
The amendments that don’t refer to procedural matters, address individual rights. How can anyone come away from the Second Amendment thinking it is the only Amendment that has an escppe clause.
The government answers to us. It is not the other way around. We are the ones who grant government the right to be armed in our nation. It IS NOT the other way around.

Seems Robert Mueller has enough to worry about at the F.B.I. then get involved in decisions of the Supremes.
Has the F.B.I. allowed any more innocents to go to jail for long periods of time to protect their murdering informants?
Has the F.B.I. killed anyone lately? Like they did in Waco or Ruby Ridge?
Has the F.B.I. covered any embarassing incidents lately? Like The jet shoot down over N.Y? The waco fiasco? The Ruby Rigde fiasco? The Murrah building attack? The conviction of only Tim McVeigh instead of him and the others involved?
Mr. Mueller, me thinks your F.B.I. has its own internal problems for you to spend time dealing with, not MY GUN RIGHTS.
FOOL.

Muller needs to look at the facts instead of complaining about a right that was given to us at our Nation's foundation. No rights were given to us at our Nation's creation. They were given to us at OUR creation.
The Constitution enumerates them, but it most certainly doesn't grant them. It lays down governments ability to restrict them.

Any fool can open his mouth about what he “tends to believe”, one would think the head of the FBI would be more circumspect and factually grounded before publicly ejaculating a mythology.
What he “tends to believe” is totally incorrect:

"I say the Second Amendment is, in order of importance, the first amendment. It is America's First Freedom, the one right that protects all of the others. Among freedom of speech, of the press, of religion, of assembly, of redress of grievances, it is the first among equals. It alone offers the absolute capacity to live without fear.
