Rios was celebrating the completion of a construction job with a party at his house last Saturday night. He told police he drank three to six beers.Three, six, ten, twelve...who knows.

Federal Way police arrested Rios on Tuesday on suspicion of first-degree manslaughter. Rios had been drinking and went to sleep last Saturday night on a bench, his son at his chest within a few feet of a burning fire pit, prosecutors say. So. He killed his son on Saturday night and they arrested him on a Tuesday.
I guess that old saw about the wheels of justice grinding exceedingly slow is right.
Now we'll see if they grind exceedingly fine. I don't know why but for some strange reason...I doubt it.

The federal government deported Rios in 1994, 1996 and 2001, said Lorie Dankers, spokeswoman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Seattle. Since Rios is in the United States illegally, once his criminal case runs its course, he will be deported again, Dankers said.I'm confused, why would he be deported when convicted of second degree manslaughter???
The article never says which country this POS is from. If it is Mexico, I doubt he will serve his full sentence and be back here in no time flat

Awww, c'mon. Cut old Alberto/Calderon some slack. He's obviously here doing the work Americans won't do.
Don't ask me why Americans don't want to work in construction but, hey, it is what it is. Not only that, but he does the work of two men. And he has the Socialist Security Numbers to prove it.
Plus, his wife is obviously a lazy slob who falls asleep on the couch and lets her infant son scream like a banshee. And besides, he pays taxes. There is sales tax on beer in Warshington State isn't there?
And on top of all that, he just lost his son!
So, again, c'mon. Cut him some slack.

So does this mean that if he’s convicted we’ll have to pay his room and board for the next 10 to 20 years?

Even the one-issue FReepers see illegal immigration as a non-issue.
